I know that but taking the tape away from them isn't what slowed them down as they still ran good on a couple of the following 1.5 mile tracks. When they started being less dominant is when everyone else started sealing up the rub block areas.

In the grand scheme that tape on the nose wasn't doing crap and taking it away didn't make them "drop like a rock".

WE were dominant? I missed that.

They had a stretch when no one could touch them at the bigger tracks last summer and you can't deny that. Pocono was part of, but like I said it was short lived when everyone else started doing it.

Huh? Hamlin won 3 races out of the first 21 until he had to forfeit the win because of the taped up front end at Pocono. He didn't win a race the rest of the season. Kyle was cleaned out also. Kyle was given a gift of a win after Pocono when Briscoe took himself and the leader Reddick out at the Bristol dirt race.

Here is Hamlin making a fool out of himself.

I think you are as well.....

Nope, me too. People like to rag on Gustafson, but the guy has won races with four guys that are or will be Hall of Famers and he has a championship, and is what, the second winningest active crew chief? If you think he sucks, ask Jeff Gordon and Mark Martin about him. They'll set your ass straight in about two seconds.

I don't think he sucks. You missed the sarcasm in my initial post that was to Chase fans that blame everything on Gustafson...or the car.....or NASCAR.....or his luck. The original poster does not feel that way either....which is odd for Chase fans here.

Jeffy is just playing the game...and you are operating on the assumption that he is telling the truth. He sounds like an idiot to those who are not part of the Ex Con Nation.

RFK repaired a piece and "improved" the original design. Not unlike a piece of tape on a front quarter of a Camry.

These guys play with fractions of inches....I think they are capable of legal repairs is that is the goal.

All that said, I am sure that the Ex Con took a trip to his bank for a stack of hundreds as he prepares for the appeal. Might gift a couple of Hondas to some key players as well.

I expect a drastically reduced penalty after the appeal....because Hendrick.
So you think Hendrick will try to bribe the appeals board? You are losing it my friend.

The way I interpret what Kaulig is saying is that these were "issued" parts. These weren't a Harvick style splitter with fake serial numbers
Sounds like Knaus is saying the same thing as Kaulig. The issued louvers weren't built properly. Nascar took every louver on the four Hendrick cars but just one for Kaulig. It's a head scratcher.

This sickens me. The entitled Hendrick bull****. You have an appeal coming. Shut the **** up. I hope NASCAR gets pissed, and make it worse. Who the **** plays this kind of game before an appeal? Delusional. Ex Con playing Ex Con games. Doesn't Chad have some work to do on his LeMans farce?

Grandstanding. Hope NASCAR gets grumpy. What an embarrassment.

Just having some fun man. Poking the bear.

....and they can't talk to NASCAR about what they would need to do to make them work? bull****.

Started with Jeffy immediately and then Chadly was sent in to finish the PR bull**** job. Where is the Ex Con? Let's hear from him about how his buddy, Jim France, is screwing him. This is comical.

The new parts didn’t fit the hood but the new spare set in the same shipment from the same supplier were good to go.

Do I have that right?

Among the topics Knaus and Andrews addressed were that the louvers provided to teams through NASCAR’s mandated single-source supplier do not match the design submitted by the manufacturer and NASCAR.

Okay, I get it now. Chevy is getting screwed. Knaus and Jeffy need to shut up. Actions detrimental to NASCAR IMO. Where is the Ex Con?

Honestly who didn't see this coming? I mean I know I mentioned quality control would be an issue. When you rely on a third party that really doesn't get punished for messing something up that's what you get. We see it all the time in industry.

If quality control is working properly, out of spec parts never leave the facility.

One would think if you see this all the time, you’re changing suppliers routinely. Are you?

This is just a minor setback for the 48-team going from 1st to 23rd. Now it is time to go from 23rd to 1st. It's going to be fun watching the Chevy's make the Toyotas and Fords their bitches on the way back to the front. :punkrocke

Kinda like putting tape on body panels under the wrap?

100%. I said it at the time...as did JGR.....as did TRD.....no appeal. I know you intended to be snarky...but thanks for the assist.
