I only wear sneakers, steel toed work shoes that look like sneakers and cowboy boots. I don't own a pair of dress or casual wear shoes, and haven't since I was a child.
Pickleball shoes, walking shoes, two pairs of water-resistant Merrell Moab for everything else. One primary pair, one older pair for when I get dog muck in the first pair. On bird walks, at least half the other birders are wearing these.

I have never heard of those, but they seem like they would be nice. I'm a fairly recent Skechers convert. I have a pair of their sneakers for walking, a pair of the composite toe slip on sneakers for work, and basically the same pair except with laces that I wear in the home shop.

Slip-on shoes are a god-send for people with mobility, balance, or manual dexterity issues. Me, I have on pair of slip-on sandals I wear to the pool but otherwise, I'm going to keep bending over and tying as long as I can. "Use it or lose it."

I probably won't buy any more lace up shoes because for me laces are either always coming untied, or knotted so good they CAN'T be untied. Skechers has got the slip on thing down pretty good, and since the wife doesn't allow shoes in the house, I often find myself in and out of shoes MULTIPLE times a day. Even my lace up shoes end up becoming slip on's but it's hard on the shoe.

Know whatcha mean about the bending and tying plus the old, "use it or lose it," axiom. Ten years ago we bought sa golf cart as we are a golf cart friendly community, owning our roads. The only thing it was used for was to decorate it for golf cart parades on July Fourth and Christmas.
Every time I thought of using it, gave it a second thought then decided it was better to walk. Ergo, two years ago we sold the golf cart. Use it or lose it.
