CONCORD, N.C. - With two
NASCAR Cup Series championships and 32 victories under his belt, there are now several venues on the schedule in which
Kyle Larson has piled up some gawdy statistics.
Certainly, Las Vegas Motor Speedway is one of those.
Coming off his first top five finish of the season in a
third-place run at Phoenix Raceway last week , the numbers say Larson and the No. 5
HendrickCars.com Chevrolet should be in prime position to build off that momentum as the tour heads to Sin City. Larson is a three-time winner on the 1.5-mile tri-oval, but that hardly begins to tell the story, especially of late. Entering Sunday's race, Larson has won six of the last 10 stages at Las Vegas and has four top-two finishes in his last six starts there including a pair of victories. Since arriving at
Hendrick Motorsports in 2021, Larson has led 30% of all laps run there (793 of 2,681) and his career average finish of ninth is tops among all drivers with four or more starts. He also leads the series in career laps led (819) and stage wins (eight).
As good as Larson has been, it's only part of a lineage of Hendrick Motorsports performance at the Nevada-based intermediate circuit. The organization enters as
the all-time leader in wins (10) , wins by different drivers (five), top fives (37), top 10s (64), laps led (2,682) and stage wins (15).
