Hottest Cup Driver

No I said Gibbs likes Joey, Im sure theyre happy he`s in they've always wanted to see him succeed.. theyre the ones who believed in him first so I never thought they had a problem with him.. Its Denny.. but Ive been waitin for it for a while I do think Denny will do something eventually, hopefully not to affect the outcome of the championship though. Who knows.. We`ll have to wait and see.

i know what you said. I was backing it up.

Imagine a fight between Newman and Bowyer for the championship at Homestead with Joey a longshot mathematically lol... would fans even watch? :p

MIKE HELTON: The way we go about these is we look at the incident and only the incident because we know from experience that if you try to look at the ripple effect of an incident, you can’t cover all those bases. You can’t ever come up with a conclusion that is equitable and credible across the board. So we simply look at the incident and react to the incident, and whatever our reaction may create that has a ripple effect to it, as well, is what it is.

I'm surprised that gobbledygook meaningless double talk didn't strangle his ass while he was saying it because it was so idiotic.

You dont get it.

Anything he does in the chase will be questioned, along with Clint.
I'm sure anything that anyone does in the chase will be questioned by NASCAR. Drivers are on pins & needles right now

why do people keep saying this? Joey was the 2nd WC without any of the shady points, and Jeff was out for sure. MWR did Jeff a huge favor, and Newman too.

How did Waltrip help Gordon or Newman? Why is your logic so backwards all the time?

I'm just keeping up with your faulty Joey logic. :p

MWR helped Newman by letting him avoid running those last 7 laps and he and the team executing on pit road to actually earn the spot with a win. If nascar had taken the 2 points away from Logano, he bumps Newman as the second WC.

See, they did Newman 2 or 3 favors, depending on a different yellow coming out and his slow assed crew sending him out 5th again.

And what logic was that?

Clint doesn't spin=Newman wins, gets second win, in chase, bumps Truex out, Gordon finishes 7th, bumps logano out of the top 10, Logano doesn't get in because he only has 1 win.

Logics like that couldn't come more simpler.

Why is it Logano's fault Clint spun?

Because it set the the chain of events that would follow? Oh and BTW not saying Logano was at any fault.

Let me also say that the spin itself didn't hurt Gordon at all. He would still had gotten in and Logano would still be out had that bunch play fair game. Even with the 38 deal Logano would only have gained 1 spot which would have been good for 24th and Gordon was 2 points to the good anyway.

Kyle Bush will win the 2013 Cup Championship because he is the best driver in the sport (now that Tony is injured)...and maybe even before. (Horrors for me to say that)

Fact: Since the Sonoma, Calif. road race on June 23, Kurt Busch has accumulated more points than any other Chase driver. During this 12-race stretch, he has earned 418 points. Second is Busch’s brother Kyle with 402 points and third is Matt Kenseth with 399.

Just an interesting little fact.

That's surprising and quite an accomplishment by that team. I hear they brought in new pit guys for Chicago.

Maybe it will hit home with the result of this race eh slice.

Logano is only going to lose points from here on out. Still 12th and lost like 15 points.

I said a while ago 7th or better is what I expect. There's still a lot of racing.. just ask Kasey Kahne.

I'd rather see Clint win to see how that would play out. Now, that would be interesting.

Good but I would rather see the trophy queens get to dress like women in victory lane.

Joey still 12th. lol
Yeah but the gap is much smaller to the next guy now. Less than 20 points for the next 5 positions. Coming to 2 1.5 mile tracks. Which have been his best this season. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get up into around 7th or 8th over the next couple races.
