OK. Tell us the numbers. All the numbers, including those from the JGR years and we'll have an unbiased look at them.
Ask away.. what do you wana know?... Im not just going to list his entire stat sheet because you think for some reason that those years are comparable lol
Look at all the JGR stats all you want.. but the fact is that when he came to Penske he got better... in the last 36 races his numbers are competitive with the best in the series... but if you want to think he's going to be slow at a certain track because of his average finish there then go right ahead.
Before this year his average at Richmond was around 23rd.. About 18th at Texas... and those are just the wins... pretty much every track in the series he has improved at dramatically.
Here... this is what Carl Edwards thinks, I think he put it perfectly.
“He definitely has elevated himself in my eyes,” the veteran driver Carl Edwards said. “If you look at the hierarchy of the garage and as drivers, we all look at which cars are running the best and which team is at what point and who’s learning things quicker, and Joey kind of threw that whole thing on its head by just going out and basically speeding up a half-second everywhere he went.”

....but like I said, if you want to base your ideas of how he might perform at a certain track based on his average finish there over the past 5 years be my guest.
Say what you want but deep down you have to know there's more to it than that. It's alright, you don't have to say it... it doesn't really matter to me... the results speak for themselves. Just because they are in Joeys favour doesn't mean they're biased... it just means Joey is doing good.
