Jayski has been completely useless since ESPN got involved with them. I couldn't care less who's driving the pace car, singing the national anthem or acting as the grand marshall. That site's a joke now. They used to have the best up to date NASCAR news, not now though.Jayski still exists?
The site was fine for the first few years ESPN was involved, then someone decided the site needed a make-over. That's what killed it. The overhaul sacrificed the 'bullet list' format that made it so easy to read. Now it's just a mess, stylistically modern but useless. I only go there to get practice results that include 10-lap averages.Jayski has been completely useless since ESPN got involved with them. Anybody who's anybody in the sport has got a Twitter feed these days. We once used to look forward to jayski breaking the behind the scenes Nascar news. It was the go-to place for breaking Nascar news. Now there's a direct feed to the masses virtually rendering jayski useless. It was a unique site that got straight to the point where now it's just like any other old page. I seldom find myself clicking on that bookmark anymore.
I use TweetDeck to follow Twitter. It's a great tool if you use it properly. I have columns set up for the different subjects that I follow.Personally, I have about as much use for Twitter as I do Jayski. The format is awful, even worse than Facebook. The way Twitter formats on a computer, it's like only being able to hear one side of a conversation. If it weren't for the fact that so many people disseminate information basically only on those formats, I woundn't spend five seconds on Twitter or Facebook. I despise them both.
As you should be.Yes, a damn proud father here.
I could never figure out how to read a conversation on Twitter either, although it's been at least three years since I last tried. Maybe I'll take another look for 2019, but I'm becoming even more paranoid about my personal information on the large-scale social sites.Personally, I have about as much use for Twitter as I do Jayski. What's a DI athlete? I know what a DI is in the military, but I'm guessing it isn't the same thing. My daughter is a DI athlete competing for the Ivy League.
My biggest issue with Twitter, even bigger than the format, is how to separate the wheat from the chaff. I find there's just too much I don't care about. All I want is race stuff, not favorite books or what the kids just did.Twitter can be an excellent tool for information or it can be a source of nonsense. It's all in how you use it. Without a tool like TweetDeck, it'd be useless to me.

Yep, with friends that are proud also.My daughter is a DI athlete competing for the Ivy League. She's a thrower..... Shotput & Discus. Using Twitter allows me to sometimes watch but all the time get real-time results when she competes. By the way, she's currently ranked 3rd in the entire NCAA DI program 3 weeks into the season. Yes, a damn proud father here. She works hard year round to compete at the top level of the sport.
I've heard of the different divisions. I've never seen them abbreviated in a post before. Maybe I would have recognized 'D1' with a numeral. I would think the abbreviation-obsessed world of social media would use D2 and D3.Division One.
Colleges are DI, DII or DIII. DI is the highest ranking when it comes to ranking the athletic level of the universities. That's not to say that there aren't great athletes in DII or DIII schools. Certainly there are.

Jayski vs. Twitter. That's a tough one. Fortunately, there's this place. I'm content to let others subscribe to various streams and feeds; I can wait until the info shows up here.
Those were fun times going to the Jayski website to check out what the new rumors or news was. I like how he broke out the same exact graphics for every holiday.
nascar.com has lap averages
Jayski used to be great.. now I wont use it. Most of the time their links dont even work and now that nascar.com has lap averages jayski is basically useless.
Yeah when u look at the practice times u can change it between the practices and the ten lap average at the top of the leaderboardThey do?
Discussions are sorted with the most recently updated.at the top. Home Slice was providing information Revman and I were interested in.Ventisca Night Shift just punched in.
Why is this Jayski twitter thingy doing at the top of the stack (rhetorical) --
Gosh, I hope I remember this when the season starts.
My print media path was MARC Times (got my fresh copy on Thursday nights at Tri-City Motor Speedway, from Dick and Pat), Circle Track and Highway, National Speed Sport News, and Area Auto Racing News.It used to be Circle Track and Winston Cup Scene and then Jayski. A lot of things were in place for many years and then replaced. The replacements get replaced even quicker!
