Jim France stepping down.

I was always a big Jim France supporter, but his handling of the IMSA-Grand Am merger really soured me on him, and as far as I'm concerned, his tenure heading NASCAR was a HUGE disappointment. As far as I'm concerned, he will not be missed as far as his current role is concerned. I have not been a big O'Donnell fan, but after listening to his appearance on DBC, at least it seems like he is saying some of the right things, and it least with him you don't have somebody born on third base that thinks he hit a triple. I'm willing to give the man some leash. Whether he hangs himself with it will be up to him.

IMO I don’t see this as a long term benefit for Nascar. They need a strong leader that will make the best decisions based on what's best for the sport, not pressure from fans and owners. I don't see anyone in the new leadership that will do that

Oh I think O'Donnell knows how nuts some of the fan base is. He went into it pretty well on Jr's door bumper clear show. I don't think the flying monkeys are going to be much of an influence going forward.
Kennedy is good people. The Colosseum was his baby, Chicago street race, Mexico City, Bowman Grey.
