Joey Logano

I don't know how Joey got the gas mileage he did but good for him.
Next up is Kyle. I dislike when some 25th place driver makes the chase on a fluke.

Logano is one of the 15 greatest to ever do it already.

I've said it before. But I'd only take Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, and Tony Stewart behind the wheel ahead of Logano these last 25 years.

It's irritating that he got in the way that he did, and I don't think he wins it all this year. But I'm not surprised he got in

Joey is extremely lucky. First Bowman gets DQd now he wins on gas mileage.

Hopefully he doesn't win the Championship.

I don't know if many here were watching Mecum Auto Auctions on Saturday in Vegas but Joey was in the crowd and bought a Model T Ford that was being auctioned. It actually looks pretty neat.

He apparently has others at home and also gave a demonstration during the show on how to operate the one that he bought.

The link below shows you the one he bought and the video shows him demonstrating how to operate the one he already had at home.

Brad K. showed up in the crowd scoping out some cars as well.

He bought a.....Ford. Love that.

He told about a time that he took Edsel Ford (with DW in the back seat) out for a ride in the one he had at home. I'm sure that was quite a trip.
I love OEM loyalty. I really do....it's what makes this sport special IMO.

It's time to start putting some respect on Logano's name. He's right up there with the all time greats now and he's not even close to done.

Not bad for the punk kid who found a way to flip his way through turn 3 at Dover all those years ago...

History and time have been good for Logano. He's cleaned up quite a bit too, on and off track. Tonight he looked like a true talent then celebrated with his family and team... good for him.

Logano was never a punk imo.

He just pushed back against Bullies and then went overboard with it for about 4 years

I'm proud to say Ive been a Logano fan since I started watching NASCAR in 2009.. crazy that it has already been 15 years. I remember when I thought he was headed back to the nationwide series after the 2012 season.. 6 years later he was a champion.. 6 more years later he's a 3x champ and will go down as one of the best to ever do it. Amazing.

The Joey thing to me is definitely different. I'll start by saying IMO he's a first ballot HOF hands down. But in each of his championship seasons he definitely was not the season long car to beat. They just always found a way to get to the final four and executed.

Hard to believe he's only 34

Others will say he won in the system Nascar had and this can go on to infinity lol. Both have valid points. :idunno:

I struggle to find value in November from the results of a race run in April or May. A season long championship seems like nonsense to me. I'm surprised so many people seem to have liked it so much.

As someone actually younger than you, but who was watched since I has 5 years old, or maybe even younger but not old enough to remember, I'm just glad to have gotten to witness both in full effect. There are pros and cons to both.

I'd be ok with a 10 race playoff because then you at least see a body of work. This format you can have 2 or 3 really good races and win a championship.

Either systen would be better with lots of smoking hawt trophy queens.

I liked the 10 race format.. but there's something about seeing a team elevate when it's time that is very satisfying to me. I think every driver who has won under this format is a deserving champion and it has been more fun to watch than in previous years.

I think the 10 races chase was the best we ever will have.

It requires Phoenix like elevation and keeping it up for 10 weeks.

The champion in that format had to go on a 90s Jeff Gordon like run.

There's no doubt that this format is by far the least legitimate in terms of crowning a champion....but it's still legitimate nonetheless.

Yeah I saw someone say that flipping the playoffs could be good.. a 1 race wild card race that drops the bottom 4 and then 3 rounds if 3 races to finish the season. Might be the best we get. I also would like to see no playoff points for stage wins but with an increased amount for wins. Plus ONLY the regular season champ getting playoff points for their finishing position in the standings. Small tweaks like that could make a big difference.

Or even something like this..

Top 16 on points only. No wins and ur in outside the playoffs. Top 12 move on after round 1 but only the top 8 keep their playoff points.. same with the next round.. Top 8 move on but only the top 4 keep their playoff points in that round. Make it harder for the guys further back to make up that points gap.

Outside of the astounding 3x Cup Championship

I love that Joey married his HS sweetheart and looks to be a real invested and caring father. People have hated him for his on track attitude in the past but he seems like a real decent neighbor.

Joey is the one guy I don't understand why there's so much hate for. He races hard, but I wouldn't consider it dirty. Not to mention he does a lot for the fan base outside the car. Way more than the "most popular driver"
