Joey vs Tony 'hair puller' Stewart.

It was funny what Kyle said. He thought they were going to finish 1,2,3 with him being third, and then he said, they started side drafting, and slowing down, so I caught up and passed them. He thought it was funny..I would too if I were him. If they had finished 1,2,3 "Rowdy" wouldn't have been all smiles, and we wouldn't still be talking.:) Great freakin race

I thought it was interesting after the race. Kurt Bush kept saying that they had him scored in third. I think he knew that he didn't come in third, but he would have taken it if they had left it that way, but 5th ain't bad for the other Bush

Nope .. I know your talking to someone else but I have to agree with you here..he was ONLY worried about the win and Denny being the car he was racing made him not care to give him any room. Kyle would have won it anyway really even if they didn't wreck.
Kyle and Joey were the only cars that didn't have four new tires at the last restart. Hamlin had four new ones and he would have won that race. Kyle said so himself . He spun his tires on the restart, and Joey had to hold up and Stewart got his run..and it was on after that. Denny didn't have any trouble holding his line on new tires, Joey took it away from him.

Another couple of interesting facts. The Media named him "sliced bread?". The media also said "Joey won't do nothing at Fontana, the speeds are too high, but wait for Martinsville".

Exactly. There is a reason why drivers are backing Tony and no one is coming to logano's aid. His own teammate won't back him. Not saying Brad hates Joey, but he thinks enough of guys like Tony, Denny, and Kasey not to get in middle of it.

If it was just one or two drivers then I would just say drivers being egotistical a**hole, but joey has issues with a lot of well respected drivers. Obviously there is more about Joey that we don't see on track or in media. My guess is many drivers don't like his attitude or way he carries himself. Like maybe he carries a silver spoon, and thinks he is better than most. Just a guess.
Post some of the links to all of these driver comments backing Tony on this issue. I'd like to read some of this stuff.

I am on road and using my phone. Kahne had tweeted last night that he basically agreed with Tony. My other references are to the issues that JoLo has had with other drivers in the past. Like Hamlin, Newman, Gordon... You don't have that many issues with top drivers unless you got some issues of your own.

Tired of Logano playing the victim. Everyone acts like he's just tired of getting shoved around and has suddenly grown a set. I seem to remember him, as a Cup driver, entering a short track race, getting mad over drivers racing him aggressively and deliberately wrecking a guy.

Then there was the Michigan deal when he wrecked Ryan Newman because Newman didn't give him a position in the closing stages of a race and then whined after the race that Newman raced him too hard. Exact same **** Logano did with Hamlin TBH - was given a ton of room and couldn't control his car.

I find it ironic Newman trying to teach someone how to drive when he thinks you can bump-draft in the tri-oval at Kentucky.

Or they have issues...

off subject but, is what happened with hamlins pits guy asalt. seems kinda rough for no reason. did he get fined or fired? Pit guys should not be able to grab drivers.
You really think that was rough! What do you think this is, powder puff racing? All he did was push Joey back out of the way so he could finish his job, and then his teammates just held Joey back out of the way. Good luck finding any crewmembers that would have done it any different. If you come into my work space when I'm doing my job and try to push me out of the way because you are upset with my teammate, isn't going to fly with me, or any other crew guys that I know. I actually thought the crew guy was pretty gentle with him.

Yes some of the top drivers in Nascar, especially 4x and 3x champions have issues and Joey is a saint.
I never said that. Joey is far from a saint.. but that doesn`t mean that some of those other guys aren`t bigger idiots. The thing is, when they retire Joey will be in his prime.. Im not worried about Smoke or Gordon, Johnson, Kenseth or any of those 40+ guys because eventually they`ll be a non factor while Joeys winning races and championships. I picked Joey as my driver for what I believe he can do not what he has done as people aften do... I know this doesn't have anything to do with what were talking about but really.. did guys racing Earnhardt like the way he raced them, I doubt it.. Not saying Logano is the next Earnhardt but all great drivers had a boatload of haters on their way to the top. Mostly because they beat their driver..

They're trying to get that busted up hunk of junk in the truck somehow, and get the hell out of dodge.:)

Has anyone seen any comments from Hamlin regaurding that last restart and his wreck.
I would be interested to see his point on all this.

I hear ya. I guess the Nascar guys get used to hauling broken cars back to their shops all the time because it happens so often. But, I know that I hate it when I'm hauling a pile of junk up in the top of the trailer. It seems to make the trip back to the shop that much longer. But, the main thing is that the driver is ok.;)

I crewed for a season on a dirt tracker long time ago. He freakin wrecked almost every week. :)
I did for a couple of seasons. It does get old wrestling the hunks back in the trailer. Fortunately that's where it ended for me!

All the Logano supporters keep acting like it was just the blocking. Did the blocking set it off? Yes, but obviously there is more to it, and it all built up to yesterday's events.
Do you have examples to match the speculation?

Everyone has had issues with everyone at one point or another. The situation at hand is what happened yesterday, in which Kasey is the only person I've seen that took Stewarts side.

It was a good day when he finally bought a winch and we put it on the trailer. Probably almost as good as when his mom said she wasn't going to spend anymore money for him to race next year.o_O

I feel like we're going to have to wait a couple weeks for that. I think he's more concerned about whether he'll be able to race in two weeks. I mean, we are going to his favorite track. I think winning the race in his home state is really the main thing on his mind.

Name another driver who has had more issues with more drivers than Logano.

What kind of issues? Carl Edwards purposely wrecked Brad Keselowski at 190 m/h causing him to flip his car at Atlanta. I'd consider that issue to be 10x worse than the issue Stewart had with Logano. Sometimes drivers get butt hurt that they aren't winning or aren't getting media attention, so they simply create random issues with other drivers. You really can't count those issues.

You didn't answer my question. You just skirted around it.

I countered your question with another question. If we want to talk random issues that don't mean anything, then my list will likely exceed the amount of characters that I'm allowed.

I was watching TMZ and they had a segment where they had interviewed Darrel Waltrip at LAX yesterday and they asked him how the race went, and he said that they had a good race and a good fight afterwards. Then he told them that Tony thinks and he agrees that there should be a fighting ring for the drivers to iron out there differences after each race. Then after Darrel was gone one of the reporters asked the other reporter what the fight was about and he said that Tony Stewart had been leading most of the race all day and then Joey Logano passed him and then blocked him from winning the race.:windows:LOL

Sorry, but I'll side with the 3 time champion here over the punk who commands no respect.

Go Tony, curbstomp Joey when you get a chance!

I'm impressed these tabloid whores recognized Darrell Waltrip..
