I have the race and I just watched the final segment to make sure. Gordon pitted a lap earlier than Harvick, for one and he was running his fastest laps of the race. DW even mentioned it.

Second, Harvick's pit stop was actually slightly better than Gordon's.

Gordon was just faster right up until 4 or 3 laps to go in which it was already too late for Harvick to catch him.

But you know, anything to discredit Gordon of anything positive he does.

Pesky facts. They can spin all they want to but facts is facts. I was watching on raceview so I knew what was going on also. And Ive watched the last 30 laps twice since the race.

I don't care about the Cup Championship anymore since it's become the joke that it is, but one of the only things that I'm hoping for when this season is over is that Jeff Gordon kicks some Jimmie Johnson ass. Jeff has always been the superior driver at HMS and always will be.
 
Toyota looks a bit meh. What in the world is with that JGR camp?

I thought they came with the Chase spec engines?

I mean championships for five years in a row and one last year... That's nothing to sneeze at.

Gordon's last title shot was in 2007. That was a great season for him. I'm glad to see them both very competitive.
 
Jimmie started not doing so well when they began to use the magnifying glass on the 48 going through tech. Shocker :sarcasm:
For a while there, Josh Wise and Danica Patrick could've won in the 48.
 
Johnson can always find a job driving drift cars after Jeff beats him. don't know about Kasey though.
 
Does Smoke have his pit crew back since KuBu doesn't care anymore.
 
At this point I actually really like watching Harvick win the pole. Cause it just makes the mistakes he makes come race time more interesting.

be able to tell next year when he goes over to the other side. He might start out good, but like Kenseth, I think he will do about the same. Time will tell. I'm hoping Beuscher will breathe some life and hope in the Roush camp

I hope he does well at JGR.
JGR has also been hit & miss this year but I think they have made some progress. I'm looking forward to next year.
I hope this new Chase format proves to be the epic Brian France fail. I'd like to see The Chase go away altogether. I don't think I can stay interested in this sport for much longer if things continue in the direction they're going.
 
Okay, why is Mike Wallace in the #66 this weekend?

That car is similar to the RCR #33, but I know for certain that car is better than that....

That seems hypocritical given certain gordon fans on this board (they know who they are) throw a complete hissy fit every time stuff happens to him. Also, all the races Harvick have lost this season were due to car problems or pit road issues. What mistakes has he made other then be the most consistently fast driver this year?

Harvick is one of the biggest whiners in the sport, I absolutely enjoy every time he makes mistake, a crew member makes a mistake, he complains on live tv, he whines over the radio...regardless of whether some fans have fits when things happen.

It's almost as enjoyable as when Gordon wins.

Still waiting for you to spin the Kansas race Harvick supposely lost because his crew was bad. :rolleyes:
