God couldn't have done any better in the Delta Wing. They should've renamed it the Darta-wing. That thing covered more distance side to side than it did forward.
 
One of the many failed concepts was that the Delta wing would save so much in time and fuel stops because of aero and sipping fuel it would be competitive. The I got it, let's race a three wheeled moped against the field concept.

Meh. Who was better in the Deltawing? With that car, you trying to measure to .0001" with a Harbor Freight tape measure. It's obvious to the unbiased she wasn't/isn't at the elite level. But how many measure up to that? Just a few. That's why they considered elite. I've never been they type that considers 2nd place first loser tho. The folks racing for 22nd are going as hard as those in the top three.

The main issue she has in Cup is time. Just doesn't have enough laps. Plus the Next Gen is a miserable piece of **** for at least half the field. The car is horrible. It's an enclosed go-kart. The suspension has almost no travel. JUNK! An Indycar has more suspension travel.
 
She's 45, guys. She is not in her athletic prime. There are only 16 drivers in the entirety of Cup history that won a race at age 45 or after. Out of 208 names, that makes 7% of the total. She is also not going to get significantly better even if she has more experience, again, because she is already 45.

I wish her well but I'm also of the mindset that I wish the money being used to keep her career afloat was being used to float a female driver under 30. They exist and are predominantly racing on ovals.

Pretty sure most of us know that and we also know what kind of equipment she had to drive. I think she did well for what she had to work with. She is one hell of a business women IMO to put deals together like she has been able to do.

Suspect the powers-that-be are waiting for the 19-20 y/o's to get more experience. I remember how early Cup entry went for Logano & how it's gone for Ty Gibbs. This stuff ain't easy. There are very few Jeff Gordan's. Also have to wonder how much the serious concussions couple of them have had factors into sponsorship decisions. Maybe viewed as damaged goods? Not saying that's right just a possibility.
