Keselowski Providing Today's LOLZ ...

There's two separate things here. Is Brad being Brad and whining about getting caught? Probably. But his underlying point is not invalid. In other major sports you don't have ex-players or coaches in the booth who are still officially associated with or have a financial interest in one of the teams competing. It would definitely draw attention as a conflict of interest.

Would Gordon have been as pointed in his commentary if it had been the #48, #88, etc. who got caught doing the same thing? If you believe so, I have a great piece of property for sale you might be interested in.

WTH is he complaining about Gordon for?
Jeff Gordon: “Do you guys remember the last time that this happened and the results? I think it was Las Vegas. Same penalty (roll 2016 Las Vegas video of No. 2 crew member’s body making contact with the car during a pit stop). Here it comes … hip check. Bam.”

Mike Joy: “What does that do?”

Gordon: “It just caves in those doors, and what it does is it creates a flare in the fender right in front of the right-rear tire. What that does, and they’ve found this in the wind tunnel – it just creates a little more sideforce; gives them a little bit more downforce and speed to be able to lean on. You can maybe free up the car a little more and have a little bit more to lean on to make the car go faster.”

Joy: “And to your point, when that happened at Las Vegas, where did he end up?

Gordon: “He won.”

On air Gordon said that Keselowski’s penalty for unapproved body modifications Monday was similar to the penalty he got at Las Vegas earlier this year. Keselowski was penalized at Las Vegas for speeding on pit road, not illegal modifications.

That's right. Gordon agrees with you:

"My mistake comparing @keselowski @LVMotorSpeedway incident today @poconoraceway but @NASCAR called car down pit road to fix issue not me," Gordon tweeted.

i think he has a somewhat point. i think Jeff is way too bias in the booth. i actually was iffy on Dale Earnhardt racing against his DEI Teams while driving for RCR.

I get that Brad doesn't like cheating allegations but Gordon just made a mistake, it's probably pretty easy to forget it was a speeding penalty rather than a body mod penalty when something of that nature happened in that race too. And yeah, I think Gordon has been favorable to HMS during his time in the booth so far. But I don't think Brad needed to call him out.

I'm a BK fan but that pig-eyed goomer calling anyone else "inbred" is the real LOL.

To Brad's point, would JG have spoken up if it was a Hendrick crew doing same?? If not, he has no business being in the booth.

And JG (according to link) now says it was a mistake to mention Vegas? hmmmm

Yes. Here's the on-air exchange:

Mike Joy: “On the first pit stop, a crew member leaned into the right side, altering the bodywork … slipped into the bodywork … and they had to do a drive-through after the race went green. Boy, has he recovered.”

Jeff Gordon (talking over a replay of Monday’s incident): “Do you guys remember the last time that this happened and the results? I think it was Las Vegas. Same penalty. Here it comes … hip check. Bam.”

Joy: “What does that do?”

^ I'm agreeing with you and further suggesting that it's more than implied.

Makes Kyle seem like a diplomat.

Did they?

That's not what he said.

He said his mistake was saying that Keselowski was penalized for it in Vegas when in fact he was not.

Yeah but his argument is that he doesn't own anything in Xfinity races which is what he sits in on.

I have to agree, BKs comments are more about his frustration with the 2 team getting caught doing something stupid than much else. He has stepped in it......

Kez looking for reasons to whine like a baby, like always. Maybe your team shouldn't be so blatantly obvious when trying to bend the rules. But it's all Jeff Gordon's fault right? Typical Brad logic.
Like when BK tried to make a pass for the win in Texas and JG wrecked himself trying to block then blamed Brad, that logic?

No, not really like that, but I guess if you want to bring up an old racin deal in an attempt to make Jeff look illogical, that's fine. It doesn't really change the fact that Brad says really dumb things almost every time he opens his mouth.

Nope, but it does show JG can be as illogical as anyone about his involvement in racing incidents too.

I agree with FL. Jeff has been excellent in the booth IMO. The quartet of Mike Joy, DW, JG, with Larry Mac chiming in from the side, is a very strong team. However, JG is a constant HMS homer, as I have said multiple times, and that grates occasionally.

As for Kes, this is another example of the drivers #1 rule... it is always safer and better to be "plain vanilla" all the time. Speaking your mind is rarely, if ever, worth the inevitable backlash.

Today, Kez was probably already irritated that JG kept on giving credit for winning the pole to Joey Logano, or he will be when he watches the race broadcast.

Nascar has a history of several commentators being biased. Personally I don't care either way, but I can see how some might.

I don't understand what this has to do with Brad. He's not watching the race on TV, so what does he care? What does Jeff being in the booth have to do with his jackman intentionally throwing himself into the side of the car?

And as far as Brad being a loudmouth crybaby, don't get me wrong, I'm glad he says dumb things all the time. It's entertaining.
