Keselowski Providing Today's LOLZ ...

And they didn't mention it on the broadcast, but the driver's side was dented in behind the 2 before the green flag even dropped. Obviously not as noticeable as the right side, but it had clearly been bumped before the car got on the track.

Nascar has a history of several commentators being biased. Personally I don't care either way, but I can see how some might.

I don't understand what this has to do with Brad. He's not watching the race on TV, so what does he care? What does Jeff being in the booth have to do with his jackman intentionally throwing himself into the side of the car?

And as far as Brad being a loudmouth crybaby, don't get me wrong, I'm glad he says dumb things all the time. It's entertaining.
Mere speculation here but I think Brad is a little too anxious to defend himself and his team after taking a lot of heat for the All-Star Race happenings. Seems like his 2013 persecution complex is resurfacing a little bit.

If you guys think Gordon is biased now, you'd better hope Chase doesn't pull that 24 into VL during a FOX broadcast. Mike Joy and DW won't even exist during those final laps lol.

Every time I try to see the positives and pull for Brad he says something so incredibly stupid that I just cannot respect him. The guy better hope Penske keeps him around for the whole duration of his career, because the way he continues to talk like this about the wrong people will not help him get another ride easily despite his talent.

The guy calling someone else inbred is hilarious.
I guess I'm weird because I thought it was Nascar, not some Miss (or Mister) America pageant. Seriously, what active drivers (if any) are pretty enough to go in the Hall of Fame alongside Junior Johnson, Dale Earnhardt, Bobby Allison, and all the other pageant winners already inducted?

:lol2:

As for JG, the bias is natural and bias in the booth is nothing new. As someone else touched on, NASCAR analysts usually always have ties to drivers or teams.

My hearing must be going, then
maybe it could be my dislike. i know Jimmie can win at any track, but now there's a bigger handful that can also. of course he was higher on Chase today, he was upfront, but Jimmie is his horse. just my opinion

I love it that Brad would call out Jeff. So much to lose, and he just doesn't care. So not vanilla. Jeff has had it coming. Complete homer, but I expected it, and admire it. He has made Chase's transition to Cup infinitely easier. I respect how Jeff has handled all of it, but......when was the last time a driver called out DW on the podium? Hmmmm. Betcha ole DW is grinning pretty big.

Last I remember Tony made some remarks on pit road before a race in reference to DWs comments but don't remember exactly what they were? Been a few years back.

I was not a huge gordo fan on the track, mostly because I was a Rusty fan in the 90s but man I like him in the booth. Hes the straight man to DWs loony legend-ness, a champ is own right as well. He and Joy are more of the every-man for the broadcast.

I like Kez as he drives like he stole it every race, but for this one he seems like:

A few years ago BKez was going on about another organization being busted for cheating and blabbed on how Penske was not that type of organization blah blah blah. A couple weeks later Penske got in trouble for something and there was dumb Brad putting his foot in his mouth again. The guy may be MENSA material but he sure doesn't act like it.

This is a joke - Kes now calling out race commentators? I love a good driver-driver rivalry but this is just lame - focus on preventing your tire carriers from hip checking your car and the color guys won't have anything to talk about. IMO.

The best advice I could give to BKez (other than shutting his pie hole completely) would be to worry more about himself and the dumbassery that springs forth from his lips and keypad and spend no time worrying about others.

Yeah, vaguely remember that, but Tony would tell his own Mother to **** off as an act of love. Kez is more of the good time Charlie who wasn't feeling it IMO.

“That’s because Jeff Gordon is in the booth,” Keselowski said. “They need to get some people in the booth who aren’t inbred to the sport and own teams and have internal knowledge, because that’s pretty crappy. But it is what it is.”

Of course he is biased so are the waltrips. find someone neutral and they won't be any good at race information.

All the good ones are either dead or retired.

I didn't see anything wrong with what JG said during the broadcast.

Just curious though, do any other sports have network commentators that are still actively involved in the sport?

I gotta say that Jeff is the biggest homer I ever heard in the booth . Michael was bad , Rusty too , but Jeff is really bad . Strangely , he seems to show favoritism more for Chase and Junior than Jimmie , but he is Hendrick all the way . I have to say , that Brad has a point and Jeff should listen up and tone it down . Race fans don't give you a lot of time to learn ..

What is he saying that is biased though? If they're running up front he's going to talk about them and odds are good he's going to speak highly to what they're doing well on that particular day or in general. I really don't get the gripes.

I think it's being labeled biased because of his Hendrick ties but in all actuality there's nothing biased about it.

If it was Dennis Setzer or somebody else in the booth saying the exact same things as Gordon, nobody would say he has a Hendrick bias. People hear him talk about a Hendrick driver and immediately jump on him because of his ties to HMS. It reminds me of Kirk Herbstreit in college football, he couldn't even mention OSU without being called a homer. He eventually got so sick of it he would purposely start picking against the Buckeyes more often than not, which made Buckeye fans call him a traitor. Damned if ya do, damned if ya don't.

Again, who cares if he's biased anyway? It's not like Gordon is blatantly favoring HMS guys over anyone else, or trash talking Gibbs or Penske.

Another thing, the reason why many Nascar analysts appear biased is due to the fact that the best guys for the job stay involved with the sport after retirement. That's a great thing if you ask me. Jeff's analysis is fantastic. Where else are you going to find someone with his credentials who can provide the same kind of info, but has ZERO ties to any team/driver/etc.

Michael Waltrip is biased too, but what does it matter? He mentions Toyota 137 times a broadcast, but that's not what makes him a bad commentator.

Ah ya... It pretty much does make him a bad commentator . I hope Jeff never gets that bad.

Kirk isn't allowed to pick the winner of the game he calls. Others, yes. His game, no.
