Kyle Busch shows off his maturity again

I know, but you forget that Carl intentionally wrecked Kez at Daytona in the NW race. Atlanta was the second count of attempted murder. Kez needed to do something after Carls first attempt to wreck him at Atlanta, and certainly after Carl succeeded.

Carl is already a has been, he missed his chance. Kez needs to get it together.

I think you're right. He blew 2 chances at a championship. Carl will wither on the vine and blow away.

I think he could get on a roll anytime. Anything can happen. He could win it this year.. I think Tony proved you can never count someone out, that same guy could win the next 3 races.. You never know.

Been watching Newman for years, might not apply here but Busch is right on. Newman hogs the track, is slow most weeks, and dares ya to run into him. I don't know how many times I have watched Newman run in deep just to spin out somebody for no reason, yeah Big Stupid Ogre works for me.

This. I don't think Kyle watched Kurt's wreck or even real cared that much but just found a way to vent a frustration a lot of drivers have with Newman. I always felt until the leader passes you you can race as hard you please. But when your career is circling the drain like Newman I understand why it can be frustrating for a driver. Loved Newman's racing style 10 years ago idk how I feel about it when he is usually a non factor for the chase year after year.

Newman used to get a lot of headlines because he was putting it on the pole five, six even seven times a year for a few years. but he didn't win hardly any races back when and now he can't expect to hang around in the twenties and not get booted. I have watched drivers tippy toe around him for years. He reminds me of a guy we had dirt racing years ago. He would always start in the back and he would start racing when the field lapped him, swerving all over, trying to run people off the track. PITA.

Yeah and Newmans' not even putting it on pole much anymore, that's what really distinugished him from the field now he's just an average qualifier and generally mediocre on all fronts.

Regarding Carl, I doubt he wins a Cup championship as long as he's driving for the Jack, I have little to no faith in that organizations ability to put the pieces together to win it, just seems like their always missing something.

I have a feeling that's because they cater their engineering to what Carl says he needs, but he's the guy who spends little free time with the team. I honestly believe that approach cost Jack a championship or 2 with Matt. Jack even came out 2 or 3 years ago and said (paraphrasing) 'we need to start focusing on Matt more and giving him what he needs to win'. That clearly never happened. When Carl threatened to leave when the 2011 was over, I'm sure Jack had to promise him the world to keep him.

At least SHR knows how to handle their useless cash cow.

He's too busy going to Subway with Jay Glazer :)

Seriously though, I agree that they probably should have gotten it done with Matt I think he's a superior driver to Carl. Jack just seems to be too much of a meddler to me, he needs to step back and be less hands on. You don't see Rick Hendrick down in the garage checking spark plugs.

Roush is a scientist. Hendrick is car salesman. IMO, they both do their jobs rather well.

I think Roush as an owner should be more focused on his sponsorship woes than getting under the hood of his cars, and I would think his organization should have people that can do that. That's not to say there isin't value in having an owner that knows what he's talking about however he seems to be a micro manager and as of right now it appears Roush Fenway is not only behind on the track but also off the track as well, in terms of sponsorship at least.

Valid points but I'd like to add that Roush may have erred with the whole Edwards deal. How ironic is it that Edwards threatened to go to JGR while Kenseth seems content to stay with RFR so Roush caves to Edwards and Kenseth is now flourishing at JGR?

It's totally ironic, and I would say he definitely erred on that deal. He was assuming Kenseth wouldn't go anywhere and considering Edwards age in relation to Kenseth and his recent run at the title it looked at the time to be the right choice. If I was in Jack's shoes I may have done the same thing, but Kenseth is a lot smarter than people give him credit for and he knew which way the wind was blowing and now he looks like a genius.

I believe Jack wanted to keep Edwards because he's good for attracting sponsors.. Since DeWalt left, I'm not sure Matt could excite any big name sponsors. Last year he had to be divided up by 5/3 Bank, Zest, Best Buy, Affliction T-shirts and a few others.

So why is Bush saying Newman can kick anybody's butt? He doesn't seem like the most athletic of the drivers. Is there something about him I don't know? Martial Arts? 500 lb. bench press? Laser beams from his eyes?

Stand next to him and have a casual conversation and you will see the light.

Kyle is such a puny runt, I'm sure he wouldn't want to mix it up with anyone in the garage except for maybe Logano, Johnson or Danica

Yeah, he might take Algaier, I don't think he could take Johnson. He didn't do so well with Harvick and he is pretty little, wouldn't get out of his car. Come to think of it, I don't think Kyle has said a thing about Harvick's driving since that time.:)

I recall hearing that, in college Newman was a state wrestling champ or something like that...
