Las Vegas RACE thread

how in the hell can there be 3 SHR cars that can't even run in the top 20 and yet there's the 4 car who's in the lead?...
24 fans have been asking themselves that for over a decade with how fast the 48 runs. Driver set-ups just don't seem equally applicable from car to car. Whether it's little nuances in the chassis that are different, whether driving style is the difference.....I don't know. It seems hard for me to believe that Kevin Harvick could run a half second faster than Tony Stewart in a car that was really that equal.

Hi everyone. I just got home from taking Jennifer back to college, a long 4 hours on the road.

Wow, Kurt just isn't having any good luck so far with SHR so far huh? Perhaps I expect too much too fast.

Meanwhile Truex is running a solid 6th......I don't think that Furniture Row car is such an underfunded team as some people perceived. Being a single-car team and out in Denver or wherever they're at, and never really having a great driver or competing for top-5s on a weekly basis - people kind of got that perception.

Gordon's team has got to have got him at least 10 spots on pit road today.

Impressive.

Why did Junior and Gordon take fuel only when they had time to change two tires? Were they worried about upsetting the balance of their cars or something?

Gordon car better on long run....probably factored into the decision. I don't know how long their stop was....they must've figured fuel only would take less time than two tires.

Has to be. Gordon said this:
Jeff Gordon ‏@JeffGordonWeb 5m
Lap 155 - caution out for debris. #JeffGordon says the car's handling comes around with more laps, battles it early on. #NASCAR #Team24

Might be his car works better on older tires. Not sure I like it though.
