NASCAR - Brian France - To-Do List

The problem that I see has nothing to do with aero. Safety is what I'm talking about. How about when that car gets turned around in that wreck @ say 150 that a piece of one of the other car involved enters the confines of that car through the open back/side window. I don't think that NASCAR wants to subject the competitors to the risk of crap flying around the inside of the car. It's simply a safety issue.

Yeah, check out Massas face after that spring hit him in the helmut

NA$$CAR will never go away from pushrod engines so just get over that, FB.

I could see them going to a 6-speed trans before they would switch to overhead cams!

Thats the way it should be. Moses bought the blessed V8 chevy pushrods down from the moutain in 1955, and they been smiting the heathen Fords every since. Thats when the world started.

Brians big plan.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- NASCAR on Thursday concluded a comprehensive agency review that spanned nearly four months, by selecting Ogilvy & Mather as Agency of Record (AOR) to service the sport's evolving advertising and marketing needs. The agency will help NASCAR and the industry to execute a five-year industry action plan to engage and excite existing fans, while creating new ones.

Fix the racing BEFORE showing off, dumbass.

Finally! Someone else gets it.

Chevy Jesus likes:D

Lengthen the season to a minimum of 40 races, because as soon as you decide to shorten it those who wanted it shortened will complain about the short season.

Oversaturation is one of the problems.

You might think they should run the Sprint Cup Series every week, but I doubt that everyone feels that way. Even many of the people in the media, who are paid to cover NASCAR for a living, quit paying attention once football season starts.

Hence the main reason for The Chase! It has brought a great deal of media and fan attention to NA$$CAR at a time of year when many fans would have been lured away by the sight of oversized, sweaty men wrestling over an inflated pig bladder...

Now, I am quite different than many, I guess, because I don't really pay attention to football at all until the NA$$CAR Season has ended...

To Each

His Own

I don't need every week I'm happy with it is now. What I don't want is something like a 20 race season with gaps in the schedule. I don want it ending at Labor day, I don'tcare if other people follow football but for me football season doesn't matter until Thanksgiving.

I watch both, but I can tell you, with how boring the races are this year, I'll be putting football on and not flipping to ESPN at all come September. Martinsville is the exception, of course.

Can someone show me where the Chase has gotten more people to watch NASCAR and more people to attend NASCAR during football season?

I'll be there for the late model race, eating hot dogs. By the time the Cup race comes on, I'll probably still have indigestion.
There is a reason that they call it the Tums Fast Relief 500. There's also a reason why the people @ the track hand Tum's samples out before you walk in the gate.

Regardless of the manufactured Chase drama, the races themselves are not worth watching right now.

Your Opinion, is as vociferous and as odiferous as ever.
I tend to disagree with most of your opinions and this one is no different.
"Manufactured Drama" is built into each and every Destructor Plate Race.
But beyond that anamoly, I have found this season to be quite entertaining.
And I am really quite interested in watching as the Chase Contenders jockey for position.
Continue on with your "I hate the world" mentality, Andy.
Just let me enjoy the remainder of the season!
Nobody is forcing you to watch - or to comment for that matter...

So effen sue me!

:p

But thanx for the heads up. I have corrected my error...

I don't like the carnage plate races either. I think I've said many times they need to tear those tracks down and build short tracks in their place.

I agree Robby . What is this dude doing posting on a Nascar forum anyway ?I watch and enjoy every race . In fact ,I am pissed not having a Cup race to watch this weekend . So here I am reading posts from some dude who hates racing ? I guess that makes me look pretty foolish .

I am sure Andy is a likeable kind of guy in his own element. I do wonder if he is really as negative as he comes across or just a misunderstood youth searching for some guidance. :D

I would really like to see ALL of the laps run count in a race. That would limit the phantom cautons and keep the window of the race within reason.

I like that!! :)
Even though it came from a pro-bono defense lawyer...
