Nascar Craftsman Truck Series 2025

Greetings from my childhood home 45 minutes south of Lime Rock Park! Despite it being the closest racetrack to me growing up, I only went a couple times as a child. I am going today with a big group of friends and family! It is going to be a great day at the Park!

It should be a huge crowd up at Lime Rock today. I’m glad to see the place land a major event after being unceremoniously dropped from the IMSA calendar a couple years back. It’s about as much a bull ring as a natural terrain road course could be. Really quick and really short.

Heim time on the pole.

I don't get the truck schedule. Why are there only three races between July and August? Why aren't they running a race tomorrow or Thursday, taking advantage of the one time of the year when there's no football/baseball/basketball/hockey on TV? Talk about a missed opportunity

Truck series Michigan winner Stewart Friesen was involved in a serious and scary crash tonight racing on dirt and had to be cut out of the car and transported to a hospital. I won’t share video here of the crash without knowing if he’s injured badly but you can find it on facebook if you look hard enough. Potentially will have an effect on the truck playoffs if he’s out for a few weeks.

Assuming he misses significant time, as I would imagine he will, this opens a spot in the truck playoffs.

Watching that I'm almost relieved it's "just" a broken pelvis and a broken leg. That could've been a lot worse.
I hope Stewat can make a full recovery and we'll see him back in the trucks next year.
I’m not going to be surprised if we’ve seen him make his final truck start. He has been very vocal about his frustration with the style of racing in trucks the past year or two.

Looks like the worst part is when another car tagged him.
This wreck was like a cross between Bodine and Newman’s Daytona crashes. I watch big block racing a lot and it’s definitely the worst one in a big block I’ve seen in a long time, maybe ever.

I get that, but if he somehow is able to race I can't see him not getting a waiver
A broken pelvis takes 3-6 months to heal and up a year before the person can return to normal activities. I wouldn't consider racing normal activity and he will probably not be ready for Daytona next year let alone the playoffs this year.

Yeah I haven't seen one that was that bad before, your exactly right with what it looked like.

That was an absolute nightmare of a wreck. I can't imagine what Jessica is going through at this point. I have followed Friesen's career pre NASCAR and have always respected his racing style and perseverance in the truck series as an owner.
I sure hope he can make a full recovery, but given his injuries I don't know how that is possible.

Unfortunately true. He'll be doing great if he starts rehab before the season ends. Much as we all hope he races again, his rehab team will have walking as their initial goal.

Remember, Kyle Busch was out almost four months with 'just' a leg injury. A pelvis is another magnitude of recovery.
