The only series showing a large uptake in viewing is the Xfinity series that is being covered exclusively by CW.
What I find most confusing is practice/qualifying being covered by completely different companies than the race.

6 different channels for Cup (including Fox and NBC's cable channels) also has 90s vibes but at least the broadcaster doesn't change every week.

This has usually been the norm.

SPEED used to air practice and qualifying for races on NBC, TNT and ESPN.

In 2001, qualifying was on FOX Sports Net and CNN Sports Illustrated.

ESPN2 used to air practice/qualifying for the Daytona 500.

And Speedvision used to air qualifying for races on TNN.

Coupled with all of the different subscriptions that are needed, it's showing in the smaller viewing numbers for Cup. CW surprisingly is showing positive numbers this year, +23% up last time I heard.

Yeah, I'm kinda sad his career is coming too a close, he was hoping he'd push it until he turns 50 next year.
It was pretty obvious that his form declined over the last three or so years though.

Daytona 2026 will be the first truck race without Crafton since Texas 2000. Let that sink in.
The Truck Series has always been shaped by veterans and not just young guns. Hope Friesen comes back next year to fly the flag for the old guys.
