NASCAR Cup Series Championship Pre-Race Thread

I swear if you we all didn’t know any better, Elliot fans would make you believe he was a back marker. He qualified 5th, he’ll be just fine. Bell (17) and Ross (25th) is concerning for them and their speed.
 
Rick Allen "coming around turn 4... _________ WINS the championship" calls that would hit the hardest.

1. Christopher Bell - I mean come on. His name was meant to be yelled by Rick
2. Ross Chastain - Solid, would hit hard. The syllables would roll off the tongue
3. Joey Logano - Would be alright but no real punch to it
4. Chase Elliott - Not terrible but nothing compared to the top two
 
They will probably move two up into the booth to replace him. Got to keep the continuous babble going. I heard Gerbil Jeff has a sore jaw, Jr will have to take up the slack there.

Did you see any of the media stuff for the final 4?

There's a massive amount of respect between Logano and Ross. I think those two guys can race each other as hard and as agressively as they want and be fine with it.


As for Chase and Logano... Not sure. Any sort of push and push back between them probably wouldn't go beyond today's race, which is sort of the point I'm making.

Guys just don't hold grudges against Logano anymore.

It's hard to stay mad for a full week, but yeah there's no beef in the 4 currently, Ross and Logano respect the aggressive nature, I'm just sayin' for a championship today if Logano decides to go full blockfest with a slower car that ain't going to work against those two.
 
Also and hear me out here, if there was ever a year where we get a winner from outside the playoff 4, this might be it. Blaney is around 2 tenths faster in 15-20 lap avg's than the next closest and hasn't won this year, and there's a host of other guy's Harvick Truex KyBu that are excellent at this track that would love a win to cap the season off. I hope none of them roll over for the playoff 4 today.

In 2020 Chase cleaned Logano out going for the win at Bristol, didn't apologize for it or go see Joey like he wanted so he went on to block him out of a win at Homestead while being laps down. Fast forward to the championship race, Chase runs Joey down on the last green flag run and roots his ass out of the way and drives away to the title.

Nobody is scared of Joey Logano, he's a tough talking nerd and these other guys can use their cars wrecklessly the same way he swears he will.

If it's Brandon Jones, they should get Alanis Morrisette to do the anthem. Sammy Smith isn't ready, assuming he's still there. My preference would be Nemo; he has Cup experience but he's likely long gone. Does Toyota have anyone still at the track from the earlier races? AJ must be doing the fitting because they have to fly someone back.
