NASCAR fans offended by Monster Girls

So could @BobbyFord he used to race the old beasts at a high level.

? There is humor to be found on this topic. Stop bitching about what you're perceiving as bitching :D
Humor? This sucker is down-right hilarious.

This is another one of those cases where a small group of people scream about something that offends them. The resulting media coverage attracts far more people to investigate the offensive object than would have ever known about it if the offended had just kept their mouths shut.

Lmao. Crazy how nature do that.

Right here. This thread is proof that some people bitch because they like to bitch--regardless on which side of the fence you are on. Have to add to my list of approved topics....let's see......1) Great racing, 2) TV Ratings, 3) Attendance, and 4) Monster Girls. Got it.

Really ugly Monster girls would have a whole nuther faction complaining :lol2:

Remember when your Mom told you not to play with matches.....and you just had to play with one? That's how I feel right now. Must not play with matches. Must not!!!!!

Monster Energy NASCAR models won't change outfits despite criticism

No changes will be made to the risqué outfits worn by Monster Energy models at NASCAR races this year despite some criticism voiced on social media by fans after Sunday's Clash at Daytona.

"Monster has always been about racing and girls, and that won't change," Covington said. "When we first started in NASCAR with Robby Gordon in 2009, our models today were conservatively dressed compared to what they had on back then."

The difference, of course, is prominence. Monster models in tank tops will be front and center, replacing Sprint models who wore firesuits in Victory Lane after a race.

It's refreshing to hear of a company that won't give in to the tantrum-throwing PC minority.

Their outfits showed more skin in the Duels. I'm not complaining at all, but I'm wondering if there will be more backlash.

People certainly have every right to voice displeasure about the Monster Girls and I can certainly see why some people would be offended. However the best thing for them to do is to put Nascar and Monster products in the rear view mirror and move onto something else as there are a lot of people who like looking at girls whose cup runneth over.

I don't know where these complainers live, but they apparently never leave the house and watch only old 'PTL' reruns. The track teams at the local high school practice in less clothing.

Speaking of which, do you suppose there'd be the same uproar if there were men up there in shorts and cropped T-shirts? I have my doubts.

Same guys bought Penthouse for the articles.

Hypocrisy at its finest.

None of the complainers must live in Florida. With our daily 80 degree weather, the Monster Energy Girls would be overdressed. Now regarding, men in shorts and cropped T-shirts...yes there would be uproar...at least from me!

I guess Playboy is going back to nudes so now guys will be able to buy Playboy for the articles also. I don't understand the uproar though. If they went back to the earlier days of Nascar and NHRA they had women that were showing as much or more. I always thought the full fire suits for the Sprint women was as about as stupid as you could get. Really you need a FS in Victory Lane? The more fuss they make about it the more Monster likes it and might even change the suits some to give them more to whine about.

I think this discussion and the original source article are poorly named. I don't think NASCAR fans are offended in the least, just non-fans looking for something to get their noses out of joint over.

Lol, "Non-NASCAR fans offended by monster girls" just doesn't have the same ring to it.

The is probably more important things the Bible Belt should worry about, try inequality , political corruption, drug addictions to name a few.

I've seen a bunch of NASCAR fans on Facebook complain. All of whom are women, and most of them post selfies every day with far less on than the Monster Girls.

When the Monster deal was announced, I also saw a couple journalists who cover the sport complain about the Monster Girls having a presence as well.

Tried to work her into the Countdown thread.

Didn't work out.
oh well..... I've been reading this forum for maybe 6 months, just now joined. I think you are from my neck of the woods, I'm an hour from Nags Head.....

If they want one for Danica then be my guest I guess lol.

Monster Girls just look awkward trying to fit on camera in victory lane. Need to just put them on top of the cars like a hot rod magazine. Would look a lot better than them inching closer and closer in just to be in the background of the driver interview.

Chased after birds along the canal last fall. Don’t go over that way much tho.

Use 168/158 to get to points south most of the time.

I spent a lot of time at pirates cove, hit ocracoke every fall

I'm from the 804, live in the 919, and work in the 757 close to deep creek..... Rt. 17 is a major hiway for me...

Poor thing living in the 919. I grew up around Raleigh in what used to be a little suburb but when I graduated high school it was slowly becoming a big city and I got the hell out. Glad I did. Some parts aren't bad but the RTP is terrible
