NASCAR Nationwide Series 250 at Indianapolis

Okay Fender, are you done talking about how NASCAR reconfigures tracks and throws cautions simply because they don't want Brad Keselowski to win?

You watch, they'll go back to bricks now that Brad won. 8 tracks have been dropped or reconfigured / repaved just because Brad won. ;)

Yeah...but if he had stayed out he would have likely lost the championship for sure. Now he's still well in range to pull it out.

I think NASCAR is the one that should "pull out." GEEZ!

The crowd looks like a Georgia State football crowd. We play our home games in the Georgia Dome. 8000 fans in the cavernous 70,000 seat Dome. Plenty of parking though :D

I'm buying stock in tin foil tomorrow.

Okay, you do that. Time to bring the Facts box out of The Podium and in to the NASCAR chat.

Facts said:
Austin Dillon has been busted three times in 2012 for infractions and the maximum penalty he has received is six points
Almost any other driver would have lost 25 or more points by now and seen crew and car chiefs suspended
NASCAR robbed Elliot Sadler today.

The rule is simple. If you beat the leader to the line, especially by a car length and a half, you give the position back going into turn one and you don't get penalized. Elliot should study the rules. You can't cry that your teammate pushed you, so you should be allowed to keep the lead. Elliot starts and gets in front well before Brad hits the gas. Elliot passed Brad INSIDE the restart box, and crosses the line a car and a half in front. He has to know to give the spot back or he gets penalized.

Apparently, jumping the start, jumping the restart and beating the leader to the line are all different things and there aer several different rules for each situation.

And people wonder why NASCAR's always questioned regarding rules.

The rules are simple, as I explained several times. The flagman starts the race, and Kahne didn't go, so nascar felt it was OK to get beat to the line. No penalty.

Elliot restarted BEFORE Brad got on the gas and spun his tires. Elliott wasn't just pushed, he got on the gas and passed Brad, then Brad hits the gas. Elliott can't use Austin as an excuse to break the rules. Elliot had plenty of time to just get off the gas and allow Kez to run under him and get his front end in front of Sadler. I don't know what NASCAR means when they say Sadler didn't jump the restart, because he clearly does. Elliot isn't even supposed to enter the restart box before the leader, but he does. That's where it all starts.

Sadler screwed up. Kyle screwed up. Brad won.
