Nascar Trivia

No takers I see.

Cadillac, Cadillac
Long and dark shiny and black
Open up your engines let `em roar
Tearing up the highway like a big old dinosaur

James Dean in that Mercury `49
Junior Johnson runnin' through the woods of Caroline
Even Burt Reynolds in that black Trans Am
All gonna meet down at the Cadillac Ranch

The floor is open for anyone that wants to step up with a trivia question.

I think you're gonna have to drop a hint MAGICMILER....

It's muggle's game, usually shows up when there is a hiccup, I sent a PM.

Is it really that big of a deal?

MM is missing in action, so someone just ask another question.

Sorry. I was waiting on a reply from RPM. Richard himself responded and indeed, it was Richard. August 21 1962's Spartansburg's Hub City Speedway 100 mile race(which he won). In the backup car.
Now,new question.
Which team introduced the Modern era of the Supersized Pit Box?(Hint, think engineering driver).

No offense MM, but it would be nice if the guy asking the question came back with a ruling in less than 6 weeks time.

Besides, SpeedPagan gave the correct answer, so he's up with the next question, no?

No offense taken. I can't control response times from other people. And disregard my question on war wagons. I know the answer.

You asked a question that you didn't know the answer to at the time that you asked the question.

not cool, IMO . . .

This thread has been in use for almost 10 years. How can it now go to hell-in-a-handbag so quickly. It is a mess right now.

I think the easiest thing is for me to ask the next question and take it from there, an easy one that most should be able to answer, but all may not know the answer. Remember the purpose is not to ask questions that "no one" knows the answer to.

Who was the oldest driver to win the Daytona 500.

Actually it wasn't a mess. MM's question was correctly answered by SpeedPagan, so according to the rules he had the floor. It was only resolved yesterday.

Now you come in, take over asking the next question, and now the guy that left everyone hanging for six weeks correctly answered it giving him the next question.

Yea, that's fair. lol

edit: I think you should add a time limit rule for the person asking the question to come back to declare who answered the question correctly, and if it hasn't been answered correctly to ask another question.

Something like if the person asking the question hasn't returned in 1 week, the floor is open for anyone to ask another question.

1. Actually, it was a mess.
2. Rules state that the answer to a question has to be "confirmed" by the person that asked the question before a person can post the next question. Show some courtesy, frequently a person with an answer may "think" they have it correct but frequently they are wrong. Also, there is a time limit.
3. Normally the Trivia goes along ok. I have been on a sabbatical from the forum. Looks like I had better start following it more closely.

How was it a mess? SpeedPagan correctly answered MAGICMILER's question, so he had the next question, no?

I saw the rules in the 1st post but didn't see a time limit rule.
what is it?

Ok, I got the last question correct, so here is my trivia question...

What is the time limit rule for the nascar trivia game?

Wait, I can't ask that question because I don't know the answer. lol

The floor is open for anyone that wants to pose the next question.

muggle not, is that the correct answer ?

Yes, fortunately magicmiler had the correct answer. I don't understand why it is so difficult for people to wait to get their answer confirmed before posting another question. Frequently they have the wrong answer.

mreed has declined to post the next question, so pjmolo, or anyone else, feel free to post the next question.

btw, I have revised post #1 to show guidelines that were listed elsewhere in the topic. They are not that difficult as long as people read them and follow them......thanks.

If there is no interest in playing Nascar Trivia we will let the thread die but lets give it a try. Rules: Questions can only be on Nascar Cup racing. The person that lists the question must confirm the answer of the person quessing correctly before that person lists his question. I will list the first question and make it an easy one.

A person has the privilege of asking a Trivia Question only after they correctly guess the answer of the previous question AND after the answer has been confirmed by the person that asked the question.
People have 3 days to post a question after they correctly guess the previous question and after their answer has been confirmed by the person that asked it. There is also a 3 day time limit to confirm answers to a question.
All questions are to be associated with Nascar Cup racing. The object of the Trivia is to have fun and learn some interesting facts......and not to post questions that are next to impossible to answer. Common sense and politeness is also nice to use while playing the Trivia.
