The Grand National Series made an appearance in west suburban Chicago during the early days of NASCAR at the fourth track, a speedway that shares it's name with a railroad that was widely known for its passenger train service in the first half of the 20th century.

I was actually surprised when I looked it up that those 4 make up 4 of the 5 tracks NASCAR has had a Cup race at in Illinois. The other being Gateway. Seems like there would of been more at some point.

In addition to the Chicago Street Race, Chicago-area tracks that have hosted a NASCAR Cup race consist of the following:
The race, held on July 10, 1954, was won by Dick Rathman driving a Hudson Hornet. Rathman led 154 of 200 laps in the race, taking home the prize money of $1,000. Several NASCAR Hall of Famers competed in the event, including Lee Petty, Herb Thomas, Hershel McGriff and Buck Baker.
Santa Fe Speedway held its final local races in 1995 before being torn down in 1999. Today, the former track site is home to an upscale housing development.
From 2001 to 2019, an annual NASCAR race was held at the 1.5-mile tri-oval speedway. Located in Joliet, about 35 miles southwest of Chicago, the track hosted the opening race of the NASCAR playoffs from 2011 to 2017. For the final two years at Chicagoland, the race was moved to Fourth of July Weekend.
The race was scheduled to host a race in 2020, but it was canceled due to the pandemic. Chicagoland didn’t return to the NASCAR schedule in 2021 and it remains off the calendar.

In 1956, three NASCAR-sanctioned races were held at Soldier Field – one NASCAR Cup Series race and two NASCAR Convertible Division races. Because you can't fit a circle through a circle but you can fit a square and rectangle through themselves so they could fall in.

Yes, Daytona hosted those three races in 2021.
Also, Charlotte hosted three races in 2020, two on the oval and one on the roval.
There may be others but it was Darlington and Charlotte in 2020 that I had I mind.

I went Darlington because it was all on the same layout, I count the others as 2 separate tracks.

Yes on Williams Grove Herb Thomas won the only race there in June of 1954.
Port Royal has never hosted a Cup race and in fact isn't currently on the World of Outlaws schedule.
The other track hosted 7 Cup races between 1955 and 1965. A convertible race in 1956, and a Grand National East race in 1973.
