(NASCAR's) racing-forums.com's - Cold War

I'm with you all the way, dp. Maybe I got a little heavy-handed and for that I apologize. Just got tired of being messaged about the same thread.

I'll try to do better.
Um, You do a wonderful job TRL. I just looked up my join date, 6-14-02, Can't believe its been over 10 years.

TRL, you do a great job and I consider you a friend. which brings to mind another person that did a great job and was a friend of mine....speaking of kat of course.

buckaroo, I also agree with your post a few pages back. It really isn't necessary to use vulgar language to get a point across, as u pointed out.

It's become apparent to me that some members of the forum have lost track of the fact that a forum is a place to collect information and have useful conversations with others on similar interest. Lately on this particular forum there seems to be little of that and alot of arguementive posting and junk posting. Don't know why but it has become a noticeable trend.

Just my opinion on the situation.

I know I don't have any issues with anybody on here. I enjoy being part of this forum, even when my onions are busted by some, just makes it more fun to me. I guess some take it more seriously but shame on them:D

That's how I see it as well. Good friends bust each other chops so I enjoy the back and forth jokes with everyone.

Good of you to post a toughtful commentary Flash , but I think it is a wasted effort .

Every thread gets sidetracked by someone who thinks they need to insert a joke or sarcastic comment after almost every post. Many of us have done it but not as consistently as some people. Just look at these threads. They are a mess. They nearly instantly veer off topic and turn into a tickle fest among a few people one of whom seems to be on this board constantly. I had to put 4 people that I used to like on ignore because I can't respond to them without being piled on. Then if someone actually has the nerve to agree with me they get bullied as well. I have been around message boards for over a decade and I've seen this all before. It all starts with one bully who recruits a couple of like-minded people and they turn the entire board into quagmire of derisiveness.

The sad part is that we have new members who are instantly being put on the defensive after being accused of being fake accounts created by someone who has created multiple IP addresses. Enough is enough.

And FTR, I take ownership of my transgressions and I would like to apologize for my part in any of this. I got caught up trying to defend myself and others but it's a futile endeavor when it comes to cyber bullies. They have infinite time on their hands to just keep needling people in an effort to provoke them into these stupid arguments.

I was drawn to this board because of all of the knowledgeable NASCAR discussions. I'd like to see a return to racing discussions rather than insults and jokes.

Obviously I expect to get ripped to shreds for posting this and people will pile on and denigrate me but I'll not respond. I am going to just move forward and post about NASCAR and do my best to stay on track.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I must have missed all this drama or just simply haven't paid attention to it. I do agree that people shouldn't insult one another here. I do like to joke around and bust some peoples chops though. For example I like to bust chops about Danica but I can give it and take it cause I know it's just messing around, there's nothing personal involved. And I also fully expect to have my chops busted if we somehow got a cold day in hell and she actually wins something but I'll still take it cause I'd have deserved it. Thankfully, I'll never have to worry about that.

Quagmire of Derisiveness.......Te estoy amando! El Grande Cojones Amigo!

Google translate said Flflash said "I am loving the Grand testicles, Friend".

Who knew? ;)

If you should ever travel out of country do not trust Google to translate for you, learn Spanish for yourself. Butt I can't expect much from you :(

The correct translation of my comment on Matts post and use of the words "Quagmire of Derisiveness" is: " I Love it! Big Balls my Friend! "

I appluad Matt for his honesty and comments pertaining to the situation of the forum.
