(NASCAR's) racing-forums.com's - Cold War

I love talking about racing and women, and good handling set ups, and the redneck way of life.
I try to talk 51 percent racing, 49 percent women, hot cars and hot women sound like a natural match to me.

To get seriousy it depends on the racing topic, if we are talking Allmindinger and rehashing the same three points for the 38th consecutive day, I will get a little goofy. I mean good grief who thinks we are accomplishing anything other than killing time.

If it serious and about something spiritual like the way Dale Sr pissed off Andy, I am all business.
 
I'm tired of whizzing competitions. I cover county politics for a living, which is a 24/7 whizzing competition. Obviously, some people get their kicks out of coming on here and whizzing on everyones' cheerios and that's on them.

It's relatively easy to fix just put the Offending members on ignore. I put three on ignore this morning and the board looks like a much Nicer and more Intelligent place already, I just don't have time to go thru all the grammar school humor and worthless crap post.

I think this is an awesome place to post and that TRL and the mods do a great job! There is always going to be "controversy" when posting on boards because there is just too many personalities not to be. I enjoy a good debate myself, I just don't like it when it turns more about the other poster and not about the driver or topic....I have never reported anyone for anything..and never will...

And I afford you that option, for me the constant idiotic post and worthless post have come to the point where they far outweigh the posts of interest so for that reason I have chosen to ignore certain individuals.

I stopped monitoring another racing forum because it was too hateful; a racing forum that didn't like racing. And it had too many off-topic rants. This forum is much better and from what I can tell members have decent discussions and the regulars seem to like to push each others buttons for fun.

By ignoring one particular poster I have been able to avoid probably 83% of the non-NASCAR related posts on this board. :)

I've had ALOT of spare time here lately, I can't go out and can't watch tv very long ( makes me nauseous ) after watching the forum some I've come to believe theres a dual identity on here ;)

No there are plenty of member who post worthwhile intelligent post on a regular basis and there's always some tidbit of interesting news. I especially enjoy DP's thread.

Be careful admitting that you enjoy intelligent posting lest you draw the ire of the triumvirate.

It ebbs and flows. I understand the joking around but I enjoy the intelligent NASCAR related discussion more than anything. Even with the occasional contentiousness there are some people here that bring up some great points and offer some insight that dares go against the grain. I like it when someone challenges the conventional opinions.

Anyhow, this place would be no fun if we all agreed on everything. I think that it can be quite entertaining to agree with someone on one subject only to totally disagree on the next two. It makes the forum world go round. Why am I hearing Kum-Ba-Yah in the background? o_O

Intelligence is a word that is misused a great deal. I, being of middle intelligence, prefer to communicate with people of lower middle intelligence, especially the ones that think they are smarter than the average bear but are not, so it will make me seem even smarter. :D

As do I. Many of times other members have pointed out things about situations I would've never thought of. I appreciate all the opinions regardless if I like them or not. I also enjoy the occasional onion bashing also as long as it's in good humor. I think though the ignores should be visible just as following, that way somebody don't waste their time replying to that person either.

I could'nt agree more there's some FANtastic discussions and Fun at times, it's the constant bull**** post and Pissing contest that are ruining the forum.

I believe they make a medication for that also!
Speaking of medications I actually have a pill to conteract the side effects of a pill that occur when it's taken with another pill that I have to take :confused: and then I keep having to listening to Dink tell me about how she had to "Take Care of My Needs" while I was out. Seems she was jealous over my ugly he/she nurse.
