Nationwide Daytona

At least six fans sustained injuries when parts of Kyle Larson's car flew into the stands at the conclusion of Saturday's Nationwide Series race at Daytona International Speedway.
A track worker told Yahoo! Sports that one woman had a tourniquet on her leg, others suffered burns and a tire landed on one fan when a multiple-car accident unfolded as drivers raced for the finish line in the final lap of the Drive4COPD 300.

I hate blocking. Reagan Smith is an idiot, and a double idiot for saying he'll do the same again. Get some skill and race, you jackass.

Wasn't there a bunch of blocking in one of the duels?

That block was way too aggressive. Doing that to the outside is just stupid. Protect the inside and you'll win. Brad gave him a break by going outside, and Smith didn't know what to do with the advantage he was handed.

Fox News was just talking about Danica winning the pole.

Apparently they don't know what's going on.

CNN wasn't much better, saying all of the drivers were OK and out of the medical center forgetting about Annett.

15 spectators transported to area hospitals; 1 on the way to surgery with head trauma; no further information at this time.

Damn. Prayers for those people. I hope Regan Smith retracts his assinine comments after the race.

Lloyd's insures the track and orders improvements to safety when fans are threatened. Lloyd's might want the fence height increased before 500 gets a greenflag. Decision makers are in store for a very long night. Hope the fans are all OK.

It won't be 6 now, they have no idea they said when they will be able to report anything but it will be on speed when it happens.

It was a crazy video. I can't believe Nascar can remove it like that. It was a fan made video, not anything done by Nascar.

All they have to do is claim an investigation is under way about the incident and YouTube will have to remove it. CNN reportedly has aired the video before it was removed though.

I watched it before it was removed. Very scary and sad.

I don't see haw NASCAR can remove the video. It's not theirs.

The video was clear and appeared show the wheel with some suspension parts still attached had landed in one of the seats in an area where a lot of fans were and folks were hollering frantically for help. One fan removed his shirt and appeared to bend down to cover someone.

I was gonna say, too little too late - CNN, in their infinite wisdom:rolleyes:, has shown the video a few times.
