Nationwide Race Thread - Bristol

Cute Blabber Girl on ESPN2 said: "Old track, new track, the racing is always great at Bristol"

Nope Honey...exactly incorrect..the old track was great, the new track was boring as a marathon...hopefully the hybrid track will be better.

Some of the male drivers come out before a race more coiffed than Patrick does. I wonder if they have "stylists" on staff:eek:

If it did end up getting rained out tonight, would they run it early tomorrow or would it do it in the afternoon right before the Sprint Cup race?

For what it's worth though, I don't see it getting rained out tonight. Even if it does rain again, I'm sure they could find some time tonight to run atleast 125 laps, which is all it'd take for it to be official.

There are some scattered showers coming in from the northeast. But this track has lights, and it only takes 30 mins to dry the track, so I'm thinking we will get all of the race in tonight even if it rains. The race might end late depending how long the rain lasts, though.

How many drivers are they going to ask how different the track will be? We'll all find out soon enough.

Joey was saying that he thinks clean air will be a big thing tonight. Is clean air even possible at Bristol? I mean, aren't you constantly around cars?

I feel so bad for JV losing that race last week.

That was sarcasm for those of you who haven't recalibrated your sarcasometers.

From what I saw on a previous weather radar there is a big system coming in soon...but not huge...and nothing behind it.

Clean air at Bristol is like drinking out of a clean puddle...it's all relative ;)

It's almost completely clear now. Seems like those showers and storms were pop up storms from the heating of the day. They are quickly breaking up and are pretty much non-existent now.

Great news Brent...happens all the time in August (from my memory)...you either get slaughtered by a storm...or it just fizzles out. Track looks good to me. Hope the cars can avoid the Jet Dryers and not burn down the track :whoopee:

Nice one Allgaier. If you are going to seek revenge, you should probably be able to control your car.
