Daytona followed by Homestead sounds like an epic failure. Why would you run two race trying to draw from the same audience? That would never work IMO.

I'll sure agree to disagree with you on that. Not even close to the same audience. Daytona draws people mostly from Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville while Homestead draws from Miami, West Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale and Southwest Florida (Ft. Myers, Naples ,Cape Coral).
Homestead is a horrible venue for the finale and the fans don't support that place but it will never be changed because it's a good vacation for NASCAR and for the media.
I'll sure agree to disagree with you on that.
I have no problems with them moving the finale to anywhere that they'd like. That doesn't mean anything to me. I live in the north. It'll never be within a desired camping distance for me. I was simply talking about the idea of holding three weeks of racing in the same general area. I think the gate would suffer more than it does now. It's not like Homestead is some long standing tradition as the season finale. If Vegas was an ISC track, it'd be the finale already.
NODaytona as the open and final has been rumored for years. It's not going to happen.
NASCAR should move the final to Las Vegas and move the second race of the season to Homestead.
So If I'm an exec at TnT, and I don't care about racing at all, I'm going to have 40 minutes of commercials per hour. It may be a long season.
I like your new avatar Andy, It fits your personality.NASCAR didn't want to set a precedent where they condone networks getting out of contracts early.
I don't think ESPN's going to spite fans for sport. I'm uneasy about Nationwide coverage but I'm sure every Sprint Cup race will be on ESPN. The worst that will happen there is ESPN going back to full screen commercials during the Chase races.
TNT... well, prepare for more commercials.
