New rules for the All-Star race

I hope those that watch the ASR like what they see but I would prefer this as a one off deal. The way things have gone so far this year is as good as it will be given the gimmicks and the current car currently in use.

Not, not "Exactly". I'm not going to attribute traits to people I know only through a handful of Internet posts.

I will go as far as agreeing their opinions differ from ours.
I won't and why should I, this entire experiment has a purpose or Nascar wouldn't be doing it.

You guys need to be like Kyle :D:D

Busch said he doesn't have a good idea to make racing better.

But he does have an idea of how to handle it.

"It's just everybody wants opposite of what they see, what they get. ... Nobody's happy," Busch said matter-of-factly before deadpanning, "so be miserable like me and then nothing will surprise you."

Kyle is right on. Everyone wants the racing to be what they want it to be --- everybody will not be happy no matter what NASCAR does.
I may not like the change from my "old" NASCAR, but it changed. I can either go with it, or be miserable the rest of my life.
I choose to not be miserable. My complaining, moaning, groaning and whining will not change NASCAR's mind one whit.
So, I'll just save my breath for something more important to me.

Things tested in this race have a history of being adopted into the regular season. Stages, for example. I don't see NASCAR testing a set-up just so they can run it once a year.
So are you in the habit to just bash something before you see it? Not to mention NO ONE with any authority has said they will use this at other tracks. But dont let that get in the way of a good temper tantrum. Carry on

Standing ovation

I'll say it again ...if nascar wasn't keen on doing this in the future on more tracks, they wouldn't be trying it in the All Star race.
If you dont look, you wont see it.
Why would you say that, maybe I don't want it is that hard for you to comprehend?
“It’s a science experiment is my opinion,” Griffin said. “And if it goes well and is entertaining, then they’ll go back and consider adding it (to regular races)."

Let me just tell you this, if they’re trying to accomplish pack racing at mile and a halfs, you’re getting ready to see a bunch of guys retire,” Griffin said. “Everybdy over 35 years old is gonna go, ‘Hey, I’m done. I’ve made my money. I’ve had my fun. I’m not pack racing every week. I’m out.’”

lol. You'd be better off not to listen to Brett

Dude, not once in any discussion have I ever referred to you in a derogatory way. When I've disagreed with you, I've tried my best to limit myself to disagreeing only with your opinions. But you keep trotting out phrases like 'temper tantrum' and 'I thought you were one of the good guys'. You've also been big on telling others what to watch and not watch. Peer-mail me when you're finished being judgmental and want to respond to my ideas and opinions.

Nobody can agree on what has been done, or what needs to be done. We all have our opinions and those opinions
don't matter to NASCAR. The only way to really make NASCAR aware that they gone the wrong direction is to quit watching,
quit buying sponsor products, quit attending races.
But even then, regardless of what changes are made, everyone will NOT be happy.

No no. I tell you, you dont HAVE to watch. Temper tantrum is just a phrase, words, dont take it so hard.

Of course everyone won't be made happy by anything. This is true in every walk of life. The disagreements on what constitutes an improvement are the essence of discussion. If everyone agreed, there would be little or nothing to talk about. I don't agree that the only way to effectively 'protest' is to cease watching entirely. Obviously millions have done just that, and I doubt whatever their objections were are now being given more consideration. NASCAR has reversed course many times due to negative and vocal fan reaction.

Nascar appologists, and people who kiss up, let's see how the fans react after this race. My bet is it won't go over well, but some times a blind squirrel finds a nut.
The let's wait until after the race has been what I've been saying all alone tho...

 obviously didn't read the comments in the article but will say he did.:D.

Plate races have been by far my favorite races for my entire life. I don’t believe NASCAR would ever go to the extent of putting plates on every 1.5 mile. That said, if it ever did happen it would(IMO) kill the sport because the racing would get repetitive and hard to watch. Also, nobody would want to start a new team in the Cup series because of the high risk of crashing out most weeks(unless start and parkers came back in huge numbers).

At least they are trying something to make racing better, I will wait till the ASR is over to form my opinion. So kudos for trying.

Wait you just said crashing out...so you just contradicted yourself, why is plate racing so good if it is a crash fest?

I don’t really mind watching a crash fest 3-4 times a year, they actually can be very interesting to watch as long as it doesn’t get completely out of hand(like this year’s Xfinity Daytona race or the 2017 Alabama 500). But if every 1.5 turned into that it would just be too much.

Needs drop snout car again like on EA sports NASCAR 2006, that racing was epic and still is

If NASCAR's solution to auto racing is heavier use of the restrictor plate, why can't I just run a V6?
Got a whole bunch or misinformed . Mention "plate" and that is as far as they get. If the package works at the All Star race, a smaller open engine would be an option for better throttle response is the word.

That's why I am keeping my mouth shut on this particular topic for the most part. Until I see what the racing is like in the All-Star Race, there's really no point in saying that I "like it/don't like it".
We've given stage racing an opportunity, and it's really not been the worst introduction to NASCAR. Don't see any reason as to why this idea can't be given the same benefit of the doubt.
