Next Four Out

Hamlin right now, to me, is the super sleeper to win it all.

He bewilders me. Inconsistent, but keeps hanging on. Hasn't had the speed of MTJ or KDB, but has been just good enough. His "go to" tracks are no longer slam dunks. He is just on the outside of looking in, but as we all know, gather it up at Homestead, and everything is possible.

I'll say the 4, 18, 21, and 24 will be the next four out. It'll be Brad, Denny, Jimmie, and Martin at Homestead.

Blaney is pretty much screwed with the penalty of a lousy pit box and starting at the rear. Martinsville is the worst track for passing that is on the schedule. The stages will help things, but Blaney needs the luck of passing by wreck elimination while not getting damages doing it. Be hard as hell to gain any positions by pit stops, probably going to lose spots every time.

I must be missing it with Blaney, his playoff finishes to this point are 11,9,23,8,18,3. When I look at that I just don't see a guy that's running well enough to overcome the lack of bonus points.

Hamlin right now, to me, is the super sleeper to win it all.

Not having ANY DNF's or REALLY bad days goes a long way in the first three rounds.

The aw shucks hillbilly kid is smarter than people give him credit for. You know the flash in the pan kid, that got the ride because of his last name.

I know you really don’t believe that smh.. y’all talk with y’all heart and not head

I don't think my predictions were that unreasonable. Betting against Harvick at Phoenix was probably my biggest stretch, and 2017 Harvick hasn't been as good as 2014-16 Harvick.

21 car, last three races at the upcoming round 23-25-12, I guess that tells the story.

How pissed are you if your name is Chip Gnassi and you buy motors from HMS? Two years in a row you have an engine failure during the playoffs?

Aside from that, my next four out are the 2, 11, 24, 48.

I don't think HMS has anything left for the other manufacturers.
The 2 and the 11 just haven't been out front like the other teams have. The 2 just lucked into a win at Talladega and the 11 survived with others misfortunes.

Martinsville winner - 18
Texas winner - 78
Phoenix winner - 22

The 42 wins homestead but the 78 wins the title.

I don't see a non-Championship Four driver winning Homestead. NASCAR doesn't want that, they want to make it to where you have to win Homestead to win the title. I think that was the main reason for the caution last year when Dylan Lupton's tire lost 3 PSI. Larson was gonna win that race without the caution.

Hard to disagree! It depends on when they throw the final caution. If there are 20 laps left, I think the 42 can get there, but if it goes to overtime the 42 will pull over so the others can race for a championship.

He was going to win it the year before also if I remember right.

Denny is still Denny, he's gonna choke somewhere.

4-11-18-21

Chase is going to point race his way in, Jimmie is going to win Texas, Truex is going to well he's walking into Homestead already, and Keselowski is going to win M'Ville or Phoenix.

To be honest, I want to see Blaney and Elliott go head to head for the championship. That would be incredible, but Ryan is still hit or miss in some cases. His consistency is still not quite there yet.

I really hope those of you saying the 24 are correct and I find myself purchasing Homestead tickets in 3 weeks

make bank on it, if the 24 can survive Martinsville, damn good chance. He's a top 5 driver. He's peaking at the right time, last 4 out of 6 races his record is way up there. Take Dega out and it's really something.

I'll go with the 11, 21,24 and 2. Truex has to win his Championship against the three previous champions under the playoff format.

I know y’all don’t like Kyle Busch, but come on dude is damn near great at Martinsville lately and very very good at Texas.. and y’all have him out lol?? I think this round is his best round! Last round is what I was worried about..just because he hasn’t been that good at Charlotte then the follow up race is DEGA , if he don’t win Martinsville he will win TEXAS.. to be honest i think he will win both..

why in the hell don't you post your numbers?

24, 21 , 4, 2 it’s really a toss up between the 4 and 48 car though it’s a tough decision

Um....Kyle Busch's Pocono trophy is my avatar, lol.

I didn't exclude Kyle from my final four because I don't like him, I just have a hunch he's not gonna make it to Homestead, nothing more than that. It's true that Kyle is good at the next three tracks, but so are a few of the other guys remaining. It gets tougher at this point.

Ok lol.. if he is your driver .. this round that starts Sunday you shouldn’t be worried.. he will be just fine.. I think wins next two races.. he won’t finish below 3rd at Martinsville for sure and will collect a lot of stage points.. and at Texas he will win.. watch

at this point in the season it is a toss up on who is going forward. Truex has all of the safety net points, so the rest are mano to mano at this point. Any mess up can do it to anyone but Truex.

Does Blaney have to start at the rear at Martinsville regardless of where he qualifies?

I would agree with you on this, but I am not sure I see JJ making it, not this year, like you said about Harvick, that can apply to JJ as well, Both are not like they were in 2016.

Hoping for 21,24,78 and 2 for the final race.
18,11,48 and 4 are eliminated.

I have 4, 18, 2 and 78 in the Championship, so 48,21,11, 24 are out. In reality Jimmie is winning #8 I didn’t think breaks would go his way two years in a row, but he’s caught at least 12 in this Chase. They’ll throw cautions at homestead that go his way again and there’s #8
