NFL 2013

Great start for the Giants, Manning throws an interception less than a minute into the game.

What has happened to Eli Manning? I get that he's a two time Super Bowl MVP but there comes a point. I'm sure Coughlin won't last the season but Eli Manning is losing these games all by himself.

What do you mean? Eli is the better Manning. Nothing has happened to him. Peyton has nothing on him. I mean, it has to be true since Eli has more rings, right? :D

I can't say I was completely appalled by the Giants tonight like I have been for much of the season so far, but Eli has got to cut down on the turnovers. The OL is still a turnstile but that's not an excuse to throw 3+ interceptions in four out of six games. I would give up hope for this season but the NFC East is far and away the worst division in football this year so maybe there's still a chance at the playoffs.

I only caught the tail end of the conversation but some of the NFLN guys were saying at halftime that Coughlin will be likely be returning next season. The organization will let him decide on his own at the end of the season and I doubt he wants to leave the franchise in shambles.

Seriously? No way Giants make the playoffs, they are one of the worst teams in the NFL.

As long as they're still in the NFC East they still have a shot, albeit a slim one. The "winner" will be right up there with the 2010 Seahawks as one of the worst playoff teams of all-time.

I would say Dallas has the division locked up but they're always good for a meltdown. I still think they'll win the division because the Redskins, Eagles and Giants have dug a deep hole.

I believe 0-4 is the worst a team has ever started and still made the playoffs. The Titans made a run at it a few years ago, finishing 8-8 after an 0-6 start, but came up just a bit short. The Giants would pretty much have to win out at this point.

The 2-year-old son of Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has died of severe head injuries he suffered in an alleged assault, Sioux Falls, S.D. police said Friday.

According to police, the boy had sustained those injuries in an alleged aggravated assault by the boyfriend of the child's mother, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported.

Police declined to identify the boy out of respect for his family and said it would release his name next week.

Earlier in the afternoon, before his son passed away, Peterson had said he was certain he would play Sunday, despite the serious personal matter that caused him to miss practice earlier this week.

Peterson had declined to speak Friday specifically about the situation, asking reporters to respect his and his family's privacy. His father, Nelson Peterson, had told local newspapers that one of Peterson's sons was in critical condition at a hospital in South Dakota.

The man accused in the case, Joseph Patterson, 27, is charged in Lincoln County with aggravated assault and aggravated battery on an infant. He had a court appearance Friday and was ordered held on $750,000 cash bond.

Jane Bammert, owner of the Little Coalinga Bar, confirmed to The Associated Press that Peterson stopped by the Sioux Falls restaurant Thursday for a turkey sandwich. He was not at practice that day for what the Vikings described only as a personal matter.

Peterson is second in the NFL with 421 yards rushing and first in the league with five touchdowns.

Sorry Andy, but that game ain't gonna be pretty. I hope you're not watching it...

The Lions came through with a victory today! But then again, they were facing The Browns...

Painting is not my favorite thing to do on Sunday
But now that its out of the way, time for some Buffalo Wings and football. :)
