Yeah that's it Nance, the Chargers are suffering from having to fly cross country twice.
It is an open question whether the playoffs should be seeded purely on record. I believe the Patriots would win this game on the road too, but the Chargers had a superior regular season in a tougher division.

It is a little curious why the league made the Chargers play the only 1:00 game both weekends, while Eagles-Bears was the late game last week and it’s Eagles-Saints this week, but I don’t think it would have made that much of a difference in today’s outcome.
