NFL 2022-23

All depends on how they bounce back. This was similar to how they lost to Dallas.

Lafleur is a hell of a coach. 17-1 in December and January as the HC for the Packers. Dude is an amazing coach and has great assistants around him. Wouldn't go that far to say they are pretender.
Their record in one-score games is a historically huge statistical anomaly and they’ve gotten absolutely blown out twice, decisively beaten by the Eagles, and never led in the last matchup against the Lions. They’re a good team but probably more of a fringe wild card team than their record indicates, they have a negative point differential now even. I think they’re more on the level of the Giants/Seahawks/Lions than the Eagles/Cowboys/49ers.

Who is the genius responsible for putting this toilet bowl game on SNF?

I watched maybe the first couple minutes, then found new things to watch. I've just never been a fan of watching these two teams play each other. It could be because I don't have much interest in the AFC.

It was this or Dolphins/Patriots without Tua. That one still would’ve been a better pick though since it decided the 7/8 cut line while Pitt needs a lot of help to get in and Baltimore has clinched at least a playoff spot. TV loves this rivalry no matter what I guess.

While I still hate how the people running the team are handling the Carr situation, Stidham really surprised me by how well he played. I thought that if he was any good Bill B wouldn't have opted for Mac Jones or the shell of Cam Newton over him.

The NFL hates the Jaguars so much.

3 games in 11 days and now having to play on Saturday against a team that gets nine days off.

No wonder ESPN was running promos promoting the Titans in the playoffs.

The Titans just finished three games in twelve days too.

There weren’t many great matchups to choose from this weekend, Bills-Bengals on MNF was the only one between two teams with winning records.
Perspective I guess. Ravens/Steelers matchups never seem to disappoint IMO. Almost always finish within a handful of points and are some of the most physical of games. If someone’s interest is only in a high scoring defenseless game then yes, Ravens/Steelers will almost certainly disappoint. I like close matchups myself.

Except for the Steelers and Ravens game last night, everything else went about right for the Pats playoff chances

Win and they’re in next week, but that’s a tough ask against Buffalo. A loss next week means Miami, Tennessee, and Pittsburgh all have to lose as well for NE to get in.

The final minutes were thrilling, but mainly because Tyler Huntley is garbage and the Steelers were gonna get back in it one way or the other.

NBC going with Packers-Lions instead of Titans-Jaguars on SuNF, TEN-JAX will be SaNF instead. Titans-Jaguars is essentially a playoff game, the Lions won’t have anything to play for if the Seahawks beat the Rams.

The NFL hates the Jags. And NBC worships the ground Aaron Rodgers walks on.

Plus the Saturday deal is a HUGE advantage for the Titans. The league is gonna do everything in their power to prevent the Jags from getting in because “ratings.”

You can always try to get a trademark for the NFL Rigged sElection process.

In all my years of living I haint ever seen anything like the Anti-Jaguarism that is set on destroying that team. You are the only one speaking up. So many complicit people remaining silent and just watching it all happen without even acknowledging the problem. If I didn't know any better I would think they haven't even recognized that an injustice and withhunt is in play.

To be clear, I don't think they're doing this solely to hurt the Jaguars. This is more than likely a TV decision, NBC probably told the league they wanted the Packers game come hell or high water, and the only way to put THE MOST MEANINGFUL GAME of the final week of the season on primetime was to put it on Saturday night.

Perspective on the NBC thing: The Jaguars have had less appearances on Sunday Night Football than any other team, and that includes a playoff game. And they haven't been on SNF in some 15 years.

The NFL understands marketing if they could net more money with the Jags in the prime time game they would go for it.

The Jags are really improved enjoy it. If they run off some great seasons and Trevor Lawerence keeps perform well they will build the legacy and have fans all over the country. The prime time exposure will happen as it is earned over a period of time.
But dong expect to happen immediately upon becoming a .500 win percentage tea.

That's my gripe though. The Browns got massive primetime exposure for being offseason champions, for a few years.

I've always had a gripe with the media more than the league here. ESPN was running ads for their playoff coverage featuring the teams all locked in and the Titans. A few years ago, when the Jags made their stunning postseason run, CBS was constantly talking about the "Steelers vs Patriots AFC Championship Game" and "The Rematch" and was building it up over and over.

It's the competitive advantage the scheduling gives the Titans that bothers me more than anything. But it doesn't matter, Tennessee is unraveling (even if they've got some reinforcements coming) and they only have one play in their offensive playbook which is hand off to Derrick Henry. The Jags didn't play a real game on Sunday anyway, they had a glorified scrimmage against the Texans and steamrolled them, then sent their practice squad in to steamroll them.

No matter what happens on Saturday, though it will probably be a decisive Jaguars victory, this has been a ton of fun and, for the first time ever, I'm excited about the future of this franchise.

Yep, 9 days rest vs. 6 is a little unfair, and more than 9 days for a lot of the Titans since many of the starters didn’t play against Dallas.

Heck, sit back and enjoy the game. Doesn’t matter when it’s on. Saturday, Sunday or Monday….. when the whistle blows both teams will give it all they’ve got. These scheduling issues apply every single year. Happens to all teams at one time or another. Be happy that you have a meaningful game to watch. I know I’ll be watching.

Even if Seattle wins I imagine the Lions are going to go all-out to keep their division rivals from going to the playoffs, especially with Dan Campbell at the helm.
