NNS California

Really? Dillon still has done way more lol.. just sayin .. one NNS win isn't that great... good for him but don't get out of hand lol Dillon has done everything better in his career so far.

Larson won a nationwide race in a nationwide only car. Doesn't get any more impressive then that. He just out drove 2 of the 5 best drivers in the sport. Dillon is a pretty good driver, but he isn't close to Larson

That was an awesome finish.

IMO it wouldn't have been nearly as impressive as it was had Larson beat two NW regulars. The fact the he beat two of the best Cup drivers made it much more of an accomplishment.

I'm glad they were in the race for Larson to beat.

That's the only move Hendrick can make. Kahne is expendable, Gordon, Johnson, and Jr aren't.

There was a discussion about this a few weeks ago.

The thought was that if anyone was getting the axe that it would most definitely be Kahne.

Someone came in saying that Kahne was safe and that the guy who most likely would get the boot would be dale jr. lol

Yep, I'm a Kahne fan but he would probably be the one to go. But I don't think he would sign Larson until his first contract with ganassi is up in about 4-5 years. By then jr. And Gordon will probably be retired so hell sign Larson to make a team of Jimmie, kahne, Larson, and chase Elliott. Damn

If it weren't such a rare thing, people wouldn't mind as much when the cuppers run NW.

That's not at all what I said. I was simply pointing out that kahne has been more successful with Hendrick them jr, and the only way he'd let kasey go is for a once in a lifetime talent, which Larson happens to be. But every organization in the garage is gonna want this guy so we will have to wait and seesee

I missed that one. Hendrick is stacked. Kahne is a hell of a driver and he wouldn't have a problem getting a top tier ride if he ever did get the axe.

Umm not sure about Jimmie.

He's what now? 39? Cant see him racing in his mid 40s 5-6 years from now.

I'm thinking Rick is going to have to start from scratch. It just so happens there are quite a nice little talent currently in NASCAR right now so the organization down time won't be for long if Rick manages to snatch Larson and Chase Elliot.

It's been different lately. I have hope with the tires wearing again.

Sure there is the odd cup race thats pretty good but damn all three of those guys today were on the wall and didnt let up, I love that kind of racing. The cup series needs some work and BTW mr Johnson cant hang with them boys in the front today :D

All the young bucks are racing for those Hendrick spots that are bound to open up in the next 5 years or so.

Is Larson the first asian-american driver to win a race in Nascar history? Pretty sure he is. Not positive.

Before the second to the last pit stop Larson's CC asked him what the engine temp was. Kyle replied, "210." CC called for 1" of tape on the grill to bring the temp up, which also tightened up the racecar. I think that helped Larson hold off Kevin and Kyle.

Fighting with those two guys would be pretty intimidating I would think, the little guy didnt give them a thing, hes pretty awesome

So -- is Larson the first asian driver to win in Nationwide history?

And, if so, will the sports media make a big deal out of Larson being the first asian winner like they did about Bubba Wallace last year? Larson is half-white, half-asian -- Wallace is half-black, half-white.
I believe he is an Inuit!

Why not? Gordon is doing it. JJ is in the best shape of his life & still winning championships at 39. He's got 5 more years in him easy

This is about the happiest I've seen everybody over a Cup regular winning a Nationwide race :)

It was awesome, they ought to put all the cup guys in NW cars, the ratings would hit the roof, no gimmicks needed

I think JJ will be around for awhile. I'm assuming he has the same mindset as Gordon, that as long as he's competitive and having fun, he'll still race.

Rick Hendrick licking his chops

Chip ain't going to give up a winning driver, plus Larson staying with Chip we might could some day see him in the Indy500. Giving up a winning driver to Hendrick would be like Chip giving up Franchitti to Andretti Autosports ain't happenin.

Thanks again to @Nitro Dude for hooking me up with tickets. What a race. My driver held off KyBu.. Magical. Cannot wait for tomorrow.

Somewhere in the potato-image is the future.
