NNS California

That's what I don't get. He was pulling away from Kyle while he ran away from the wall and caught Logano. He changes the line, and Kyle and Kevin catch him WHILE they are racing each other. I think it was a mistake to abandon that line he found.

Near the end of the race I think staying high was disrupting the momentum of the other 2 cars, If he had let somebody get between him and the wall it would have been over IMO

They all wanted that chunk of real estate that the 42 was in

All three were changing up their line, trying to gain a tenth or two. Kevin and KyBu threw everything they had at him.

They certainly did!

Harvick is going to be tough to beat today if his equipment holds together.

No doubt Larson wins on the cup side this year. He's damn good and surrounded by solid improving team.

A bunch of no names that a sponsor wont take a chance on you mean...there fixed that for you.

You take the cup guys out that means these no name young guns start running up front eating up screen time. Sponsors will take chances on that. You think Monster would leave the sport with one of their major competitors already attached to a "no name" NNS driver? Discount Tire would probably just put 100% backing into Blaney. We are only talking about a handful of sponsors. What will happen is sponsors like Dollar General probably would go 100% cup since they already are in cup and the 20/18 car probably goes away. Tax Slayer would probably cut back from being spread throughout Jr Motorsports to just funding the 7. Gamestop would probably either move to cup or go part time with a nation wide driver. So while some sponsor would probably leave, cut back some funding I don't think it will be a huge amount like people think. What will happen is the sponsorship costs in NNS would be cheaper and probably could attract more sponsors.

They certainly did!

Yeah he's got a consistent car... Gordon seems pretty good too... Im a bit more worried about Joey today than I was yesterday but Im looking forward to seeing how long it takes him to get into the top 10... He had a good car too so I expect him to get up there just a matter of how long.. should be fun to watch.

I agree. We've all seen Busch, Johnson, Edwards, Kenseth, Harvick, Stewart etc. march through the field with a fast car and on multiple occasions so I'll be watching to see how Logano does ;)

On that note.. I must admit I was impressed as hell with Kyle Busch yesterday.. from last to the top 5 in like 15 laps or something? Wow. Now just have to hope Joey can do the same lol... I doubt its possible in a cup car though with there being so many more competitive cars. Might take a bit longer lol I expect him to lead some laps though... this makes it a challenge.. Joey Brad and Carl are the only drivers to lead in every race so far... Joey Brad and JJ only to make top 12 in qualifying every week too... So that means the Team Penske boys are the only team to start top 12 and lead laps in every race :D I hope that trend continues today.

I doubt Hamlin will cut him any slack but to intentionally put him into the wall...not going to happen.
I don't think either of them have cut each other any slack since around this time last year lol however for the most part Joey seems to get the upper hand... that's the best part of this whole Hamlin vs Logano thing is that Denny said Joey isnt a factor and now hes one of the fastest cars week in and week out.

Im not jealous guys. I just have yet to see anything to show this amazing amount of talent Larson is supposed to have. I never said I don't like him and I do think he is better than Dillon... but he has a lot to prove and hasn't done it.. when he does, which I expect him to.. Ill be happy about it.. I like the kid... I just think people are jumping to conclusions.. he ran a fantastic race, but that doesn't say anything other then he was able to get his car working around Auto Club better than anyone else yesterday. In my mind that is not proof of anything.. there are plenty of drivers who have done the same or better in less time. Way less time.. he's talented.. yes... but some people around here are saying he's the most talented in the garage area? That's crazy IMO he hasn't done anything to show that to me yet... even Danica got a 12th at Martinsville last year. He needs to get out there week in and week out in the CUP series and start finishing like he did last week before Ill buy into the hype.

I don't want my words to be misconstrued here guys. I like Kyle Larson and I think he will do good. He is a very talented young man and I wish him the best... but he needs to do it first. He still has a lot to prove.

Well, considering he's only making his 9th Cup start today you'd have to look outside of that to see his "amazing talent". Wins in midgets, USAC, 410 winged dirt sprints, asphalt late models, K & N, NCWTS and NNS isn't too bad for a 21 year old driver. Compared to some other drivers when they were 21, he's ahead of the curve.

Well this is NASCAR so.... I'll wait to see the real talent emerge on the big tracks with the big boys.

Yes he does...kind of like Biffle did at the start of 2013.

You guys need to chill out.. I never said he's not talented.. In fact Ive said many times I like him and think he'll do great.... I said he hasn't proved it... and he hasn't. No matter how you spin it his results do not stack up. Period.

I love how you all jump on Joey when I say something about Larson.... what do they have to do with each other... Larson's stats don't stack up to MOST drivers in NASCAR... not just Joey. :D

I still don't see the fuss.. jeez the kid wins one nationwide race and he's the greatest of all time? He's good but come on... he needs to prove more than that guys. Im not saying I don't he will prove himself.. but he hasn't yet IMO but that was damn sure a step in the right direction.
Its not just about winning one nationwide race its HOW HE WON IT!!!! I didn't watch the race in real time I saw larson won it and went back and watched the last 50 laps, holy crap that was one heck of a show. Probably the best nationwide race I have ever seen. I think they should have tried a more powerful slide job, go back and watch the last time tony stewart won the cup race there, thats how you do a slide job at california, tony was doing it all day. Larson has it he takes chances once learns to manage his chances a bit better look out. The other thing is once a guy knows he can beat the big dogs that is an extremely powerful mental feather in your cap. I saw the same thing with Brad keslowski. Once he saw he could outrun the sports best thats when he came of age.

I wonder if they were picking on KB's car in inspection?? I bet they are giving them crap over even the slightest little thing. To go to the front that fast at the start of the race does no doubt say how good KB is as a driver but to me it shows just how inferior the other cars were. If a guy is that much faster its not so much driver its CAR.

Well, you would know about drivers stats not stacking up to the competition :D

I merely said he needs to prove more. Damn you guys need to relax. lol Yes.. it was a good race.. Larson is good... but he hasn't done anything IMO to deserve the praise he gets around here. Yet.

Im done with this stupidity... I said my peace.. He has to prove a hell of a lot more.. no matter what u guys think that remains a fact. Have fun talking about Joey at JGR.. Ill be in the pre race thread.
