NNS Championship

Wrong. 2nd winningest driver in Busch Series is Mark Martin, who got most of his wins in Roush equipment.

Using NW equipment, unlike what these guys are using now.

Bobby, are you really believing that back then, these owners put as much stock in these races as they are now?

I'm not arguing what Kyle did then either. Just pointing out they didn't do what guys like Kyle, Brad, Joey etc are doing now which is essentially driving cup lite cars prepped fully by Cup people.

Back a few years you had two entire different crews for each series working on their respective cars.

I wouldn't say Kyle is better than Matt. But then again, I wouldn't say Matt is better than Kyle either.

They are both great race car drivers.

Jack Roush has never showed up to run 2nd. It has not always worked out in his favor, but I believe that Jack runs every car, every race, to win.

They are very different drivers. I'd say that if you could combine the two, the result would be a very formidable, competitive racecar driver.

If you think MM didn't have an edge with equipment back in the 90's when he was winning almost every Busch race he ran in you're kidding yourself.

I can't believe that anyone would believe that, with the amount of money it costs to be competitive in this sport, that a competitive team would enter a car hoping to get 2nd place.

I hate to agree with you after you mutilated my picture but I guess I will

Having an edge running equal cars, that is, having the same tools everyone has on that particular series is fine by me.

I'm not saying enter to lose or finish second, merely saying play fair and stop bringing cup type cars to a lower series so your driver feels superior to all.

I'm saying Mark had an edge with Cup series quality equipment, motors, mechanics, and R&D when he was winning all those Busch series races in the 90's.

Not equal.

You run what you're capable of bringing. If you do not bring top tier equipment, you do not get top tier results.

I don't have a HUGE problem with Cup guys running in NW, but anyone who thinks an NW win is the equal of a Cup win must be smoking more crack than that mayor from Toronto.

Perhaps a letter to Brian France could help quell your HUGE problem and offer some relief? :idunno:
Or not :D

Martin won 7 of 14 races one year...his best in NWS.

As for the quality of cars in the NWS, I sure do wish that Kenseth would've brought his NWS car to the Cup race last weekend :(
