Just a race fan
It would seem it is time for Pay Per View Nascar races, no commercials, live feed, on track action from start to finish.

the cable bill is already over a $100 a month, no way will I pay to watch each race. nascar well just fade a way if they do that. they tried PPV in the late eighties at Pocono.PPV? Seriously?
$30 x 38 races = too freakin much.

Depends on the price. If it was a value then yes. I would pay to be able to use my scanner and headset at home.
is nacasr scene still around?Nope. I'll go back to paying $8 a year for a paper I get every Thursday to see who won the previous Sunday.
Regardless of the app it is not as convenient or easy as using my scanner.
That was my point. If there was a way that NASCAR could broadcast the frequencies, real-time, I would pay for that.Right but unless you live a mile from the track, how will your scanner work?
NASCAR's tried it, multiple times. Nobody watched. No need to try again.
The Cup races at Pocono in 1989 and 1990.When?
Would be kind of hard to sell commercials if the advertisers knew that the fans could just pay $x and not see them. The more I think about it, the more I really like this idea. I think if Fox, for example, aired their regular coverage like normal, but offered the option for PPV with no commercials and more immersion, it would be a win-win for all parties.
I'm all in.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NASCAR_Hot_Pass#2007-2008:_pay-per-view_versionA lot of this would be dictated by what PPV could offer for the premium price. If they can include better camera angles, options for driver scanner audio, and more overall immersion for a good price, I'd be all over this idea and have no problem paying for a great race experience.
