i hopeGood move for Ford and Penske. Ford needs more than one powerhouse, to many eggs in one basket.
I doubt that HMS and RCR trade Bowtie secrets, Penske will figure out how to run fast Fords with or without Rousch
but,kurt was in a chevy.
Any chance that Penske switches brands before the end of the year for Brad and/or AJ?
Any chance that Penske puts Sam Hornish in a DORF in 2012?
ruh-rohNo, they have a contract. It was interesting listening to the Ford rep on race hub. He listed some Ford teams a couple of times, but never mentioned RPM.
No, they have a contract.
Since it's new cars for 2013.I see Penske building 2013 Fords to test this year when the others do but still stay in the Dodges for this yearContracts can be bought out - and Roger can afford to buy his way out of ANY contract.
I say that if Brad and/or AJ is not in the Chase, Penske puts them in FORDS after race 26.
I also think that Sam Hornish will make multiple appearances in a Penske FORD before the end of the year.

I think that Dodge did a remarkable job with a very tiny presence in Nascar over the last ten years or so .The loss of Penske is the open door to exit from Nascar for the time being .They have allowed their footprint in Nascar to fall to fouth place (behind Toyota) and either wouldn't or couldn't stop the bleeding.Even if they could get Petty and Ganassi on board ,it would be far too little... too late. Good bye and good luck ..hope to see you back in Nascar someday.
Way too little and way too late. They would ,at least , need Stewart Haas and Gibbs. If they could have gotten EGR and RPM, Penske wouldn't have left. They may get RPM and a bunch of small teams and try to build for the future.

I can almost see RPM going back to Dodge but without their own engine shop anymore I think Dodge will have to put into that operation than they really want to.They don't even build their own chassis anymore either?Right.
. (notice how I worked in economy?)
Plus ...how do you build ? You would need some new teams starting like the Red Bull deal and some smaller teams like Tommy Baldwin and Robbie Gordon upping their status to two and three car teams. That stuff just isn't happening in todays economy. (notice how I worked in economy?)Too bad..so sad
Yeah, but TED is nowhere to be found...
Really ...they did that with Penske and did a valient job .It just can't go any farther without several big teams jumping on board and that's not going to happen.I'm sure the parting with Penske was mutual .Stick a fork in em, they're done. All good points. If they really want to stay in nascar, they have a huge hill to climb. They could pick a decent organization and go all out factor team with them.
But the question is ?Is he talking about Canadas or ours?He one of the few working in this economy.

First of all though they need to look for a team that builds their own chassis. All the little teams buy their chassis from the bigger ones. Now that their will be no Dodge teams that do.How will the little teams get the chassis to put the Dodge stuff on?I don't think Dodge factory wants to get into building chassis also. All good points. But the way they go thru cars here lately.I don't think Roger has that many.I believe Roger has a bunch available.
Yeah, they're toast.

n 4 of my pick's,bounty on esaidThey lost 1 I think. HMS lost 8. 8 Cars in 2 weeks.
Ford worked in association with Roush-Yates in design and development of the FR9 engine. If I understand it correctly, FORD developed the FR9 - not Roush or Yates...
When I think of Ford engines I think of Roush.
