Phoenix Pre Race Thread

A little bit of controversy leading into the weekend. I like it. I'd like it a whole hullva lot better if it were, say, Matt Kenseth & Jimmie Johnson but it's good none the less.

Looked to me to be two trucks trying to occupy the same space at the same time with no intent for that outcome. Just a racin deal. I can see how Bubba's upset after his ego boost from a couple weeks back. Things have been going good for him then they didn't. The guy sure can run though.

Well, tonight's truck race should be interesting. Watched an iRacing race at Phoenix last night (Gen6 cars) and if that race is any indicator, the first 2/3rd of the Cup race will be long green flag runs while the last 1/3rd will be caution after cautions.

I know you're a big iRacing fan and all but do you actually base what will happen in the Cup race off of what people do playing a video game?

Well considering that iRacing tends to model every aspect of racing, and I do mean every aspect, it could be use as a prediction model for how a real life race would play out with the same cars and the same track in the same weather conditions.

I saw a piece on TV that showed Jr.'s setup, and that he races online every week. That's how he met his spotter (@ work now, sorry can't get a link).
 
Yippee and Yahooo kybu is in the Nationwide race, and just so I'm not misunderstood by some on here. :sarcasm:
 
Wow, Kenny Wallace saying he doesn't like the changes to Phoenix. I'm sure Nascar won't appreciate that.

I wish Brad would grow a pair, but that wont happen. If he lets Kyle win the owners points that way, he will be a confirmed wuss.

Ummm, haven't I been saying that iRacing is super realistic, that they model every aspect of racing?

This is going to turn into a fuel mileage race. MK and JJ et al will be afraid to gamble and give the win to someone else.
