Not really a HP track. It's all about handling and getting the power down. The Toy's sure didn't have anything figured out. Denny got knocked out of the way 3 or 4 times, and Kyle too.

A lot if less than 16 drivers win races. Chase spots.

I agree, but that's what this new Chase format has reduced the meaning of points to. Other than determining wild cards, or which winners get in the Chase on the off chance there are 17+ winners in the first 26, points really don't matter until the Chase starts.

I'm hoping Harvick and Junior win the remainder of the races so points might become relevant towards race 22 or so.

And with 16 Chase spots now, unless your driver completely sucks, they're probably getting in.

Some full seasons don't even reach 16 race winners. At least a couple of Chase spots will likely be determined by points.
I for one would love to see that!

good for you. I'm sure some drivers will get in the chase with out a win, they will be a long shot to win it all.

I saw a few minutes of the pre-race show before I had to turn away. I'm guessing the post race show matches the pre-race show in pure Fox stupidity.

I was pretty impressed with Kez, Logano, and Gordon today also. This is 2 pretty good races in a row for Gordon.
I think the Phoenix race was better this year with the new car. I can't wait for Auto Club Speedway.

In my opinion with this new system It's a crap shoot as to who wins. Could be a cup winner with no race wins.

Can't wait for ACS either--TRD/Toyota home track.
Last year was pretty awesome. Actually it's been really good since they shortened the race from 500 to 400 miles.

Agreed.
It doesn't give an quite the incentive to go for top 10s or 5s anymore.
Joey even mentioned it on his post race interview. He flat out said it doesn't matter that he finished 3rd or whatever it was. That's just sad. I mean dude got a top 5 out of the day and he sounds upset about it.
I hope this top 16 crap is gone by next year too.
