Race pics and experiences

High of 75-80 all weekend in Sonoma. Perfect. 24 hours from jumping on a plane. Let's go! I can be the one of the biggest pains in the ass on this board, but it would be my hope that everybody gets this excited to go to the track. There are fun things that come and go in my life, but the one thing that is constant is how much I love this sport. It's ridiculous....I couldn't sleep last night I am so jacked up. This is what competition should be. The adrenaline rush of the potential for success....days not just a couple of hours on race day. If WE don't win, will I be disappointed? Yes, but that does not diminish the rush of the lead up, and the fact that I will be blessed to witness this. Thank you to this entire board for adding to the joy!

Packed grandstand, national anthem, flyover, start your engines, pace laps and finally the green flag. ❤️

Tbh you should petition for a ride there on the Yoter jet. We'd all sign it. ;) ;) :beerbang:

Brand activation is so cool, and WE are awesome at at. Honestly, I have no clue was Ford and Chevy do because I spend no time in their spaces, but I love what WE do.

Great day. Nobody had nothin' for SVG. Nothing....but MY Toyotas were fast.....not enough driver on road courses just yet. SVG is a different league. That last pic is a
RAV GR Sport prototype....so cool to see it in the flesh.....might be in my garage at some point. I walk the talk.

Interesting tidbit......My son and I were driving into the track at 8:30 to see Bell. The parking attendant person stopped traffic to let a team member cross the street. I was in full blown, GET ME TO MY PARKING SPOT mode...so I was a little impatient. Guess who was crossing? SVG. At 8:30 when all of the sponsor things and appearances are going on....seemed weird that the race favorite was by himself strolling to the garage that late in the morning.

Awesome pictures. What pass/ticket do you get to get this close of access?

He was the same way at Pocono when he was going in and out of the media center, while the few other drivers I saw had a handler with them.

Also, my fiancé taps me and goes "look how much bigger his right calf is compared to his left". The right was noticeably bigger!

We were leaving Darlington back in the late '90s. People on the main road were alternating with the cars leaving the infield. When we let a pickup out of the lot, Michael Waltrip rolled down the passenger window, waved, and hollered "Thank you!"
