Wouldn't bother me a bit? NASCAR is dead gone for me.A split would be catastrophic for everyone.

Going for president of the deathbedders? So why are you still here posting?
Because he craves attentionSo why are you still here posting?
NASCAR won't regret its decisions and revert to the good ol' days if you're still here. Leaving is the only way they'll realize what fools they've been and learn their lessons.Wouldn't bother me a bit? NASCAR is dead gone for me.
And a pony!

"NASCAR floated the possibility of changing a clause in its charter system that would allow a member of the France family to buy into a team, but the idea may be scrapped after receiving pushback, according to sources."
Seriously????
Turns out they've been around for a little while before MJ came in and told then they're doing it wrong.....Michael Jordan, 23XI Racing co-owner, says NASCAR is 'going to die' if its business model isn't improved
The six-time NBA champion says making Cup Series charters permanent is vital to NASCAR's long-term survivalwww.cbssports.com
How is that working out for Penske? I don't follow Indycar very close but I guess it does work? Personally I am on record saying that Nascar should never give up control on the final say when it comes to the charters.I don't think allowing a family member to have stake in a team would be terrible. It all depends on who it is. In reality is it really any different than Dennis owning a team and driving for another?

Eh, not even close from where I stand. Goodell is a figure head. Nascar is a 100% family owned racing series in debt to nobody. That would be like Roger Goodell buying part of an NFL team. That's a wayyyy bigger conflict of interest than a driver like Hamlin owning a team he competes against
Teams are demanding four terms in the new charter agreement: 1) 45% of traditional media revenue 2) Permanent charters 3) 33% of new revenue 4) Greater governance powers.
I see your point, but then again just how much do you need? She is doing pretty well keeping JR's head out of the clouds and making some decent bucks where they are.Time to make a move, Kelley.
10 years from now these things will be worth north of $ 100,000,000.
How this is a business. It's not like they get a family discount or top secret infoThat would be like Roger Goodell buying part of an NFL team. That's a wayyyy bigger conflict of interest than a driver like Hamlin owning a team he competes against
I don’t think it’s about the money. It’s about fielding cars in the Cup Series.I see your point, but then again just how much do you need? She is doing pretty well keeping JR's head out of the clouds and making some decent bucks where they are.
Not enough to put up the money to do so it seems.I don’t think it’s about the money. It’s about fielding cars in the Cup Series.
I wonder how badly NASCAR and General Motors want the Earnhardt name in the big show every week?
Seems like everyone wants to see JRM in Cup except JRM.I don’t think it’s about the money. It’s about fielding cars in the Cup Series.

According to Jr himself they just break even at JRM and that's the main goalJr and Kelly are making bank at every turn and still have a life. Maybe they don't want to be burdened with the addition media scrutiny.
Just a thought.
Seems like everyone wants to see JRM in Cup except JRM.
Given recent events, it doesn’t seem like the paddock feels that level of trust anymore. How is that working out for Penske? I don't follow Indycar very close but I guess it does work?
I doubt seriously the paddock is going anywhere. Series's Race Control has never pleased everyone with their calls either lol.Given recent events, it doesn’t seem like the paddock feels that level of trust anymore.
I said over a month ago this was not going well. Also no wonder SHR launched a fire sale. Per the article:Doesn't sound like they're making much headway

Who owns the tracksI still can’t believe the tracks get that much of the revenue share.
