I don't have this package, just seems like you can't pass the leader.

Cant pass anyone unless you have aero momentum or a push. It’s not racing, just a wanna-be sling shot fest.

Is it fun to watch? For the most part yes.
Do I want this for the future? Hell no.

Get racing similar to this without plates and where driver input matters and it will take off organically.

That might be true, but besides that it's not really all that different. We always had them just wasn't called stages.
