Yeah, much as I hate plate racing, any restart with two to go is going to result in a wreck regardless of the track or engine package.

Was it always a big deal for the final segment? I swear there was years where it didn't affect the start of the final segment at all. But I could be wrong since I can't recall the exact years off the top of my head.

I personally do not see the racing as better. Cars not being able to run away from each other does not automatically make racing good. The race is more entertaining, but I’d still prefer a run away race as long as its organic.
