Random NASCAR Stuff to talk about.....

A much younger and thinner Tony Stewart having issues with the late Kenny Irwin Jr. Those two had issues even before they made it to Nascar.

I never thought Tony Stewart and skinny could go in the same sentence.

A little comparison.

IndyCar season opener got a .26 rating and was up 53 % over 2012. NASCAR Sprint Cup qualifying got a .52 at Fontana. Really? Qualifying @ Fontana garnered more viewers than the IndyCar season opener?
Are those ratings from America? Or worldwide? I think more of the fans of Indy live in like Europe and other parts of the world. NASCAR is right here in America. I mean I'm Canadian but still NASCAR is more popular here than Indy as far as I've seen.

Worldwide? Do they actually broadcast NASCAR qualifying overseas? I'm guessing that the ratings are from the US households.

That's my point, obviously Indy will have lower ratings than NASCAR in US households. It is a world wide league. I'm sure in Germany or France the rating s are better for Indy than they are for NASCAR. Or am I thinking of F1? lol I don't really watch either so I could be mistaken.

F1 is worldwide, not Indy.

@JimmieJohnson
You haters have it right. I'm a bad teammate, I have a cheated up car, I'm lucky and the race was fixed. Gotta love twitter & #NascarFans.

Sadly there are huge numbers of fans that have no grasp on the concept of sarcasm and will take Jimmie's tweet literally.

Denny Hamlin on the race yesterday:

As he told reporters after the race: "Jimmie got a layup today. He's going to have to work for it in the fall [when the series returns here].''

I liked Chads response. Something like....

After seeing Matt run so well, it's obvious it's the Gibbs cars and not the driver.

Obviously, the ad was compiled from unused footage during the pre-season shoot; Logano probably isn't going to be having a beverage of any kind with Hamlin or Stewart for quite some time.

Article on commercial here.

LOL ,when i saw this ,I said,wtf.

I sure hope this wasn't anyone from this forum..... Has anyone seen Fender today? o_O
Report: Naked man broke into SPEED network

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -
Police in Charlotte are investigating after a naked man reportedly broke into the SPEED network early Monday morning and ransacked the building.

According to an employee, police were called out to the building along the 1200 block of West W.T. Harris Blvd in Charlotte Monday morning.

That's where police say a man, wearing no clothes, broke into the building.

The man reportedly started tearing down papers on the wall.

He then was able to gain entry into the rest of the building where he began to ransack the office. He reportedly dumped trash cans onto the floor and knocked down trophies, breaking them.

That is when employees and police say the man ran out of the building, still naked, and ran down W.T. Harris Boulevard.

An employee told WBTV the man was later caught. A SPEED security guard offered the man a jacket to cover up.

Here's a conversation starter next time y'all have a date -- would you rather have a nude person break into your work or your home?

I'm doing a project on racecars and would like to know what frequent racers would like to see NEW in the marketplace for racecars? What features, designs or inventions would you like to see come to life?
This is a project for CSUF.

Ask 10 drivers and you'll likely get 10 answers.

From a race fan point of view I'd like to see something that minimizes aero push.
I'd also like to see tires that wear out without blowing out.
