Scott Speed and Leavine Family Racing (LFR) aim to be on target during Saturday night's NRA 500 at the Texas Motor Speedway. The #95 TrackingPoint Ford will carry Austin, Texas based TrackingPoint as the primary sponsor for the team's homecoming. TrackingPoint is an applied technology company that created the first Precision Guided Firearm, a revolutionary new long-range shooting system that puts jet fighter "lock and launch" technology in a rifle, enabling users to hit moving targets at extended ranges. Team owners Bob and Sharon and the Leavine family are from Tyler, Texas, so TrackingPoint joins familiar territory, joining other Texas native sponsors like Tommy Williams Drywall (TWD) and B&D Electrical. The team also will provide exposure for "Besties with Testies" to commemorate National Testicular Cancer month, as well as TeaZa Herbal Energy Pouch.(Leavine Family Racing)(4-9-2013)

It's only Tuesday so cut me some slack on the news being boring;)

Here's a conversation starter next time y'all have a date -- would you rather have a nude person break into your work or your home?

My Work.
Cause if a person broke into my home, whether he was nude or fully clothed, I would probably kill him.
If a nude person broke into my workplace, it would be someone else's responsibility to take him out.
Please, don't make me kill you, nude person!

LONG POND, Pa. -- There's going to be a Party in the Poconos, NASCAR style.
The June 9 Sprint Cup race at Pocono Raceway will be named the Party in the Poconos 400 following the results of a fan vote sponsored by Walmart.
Walmart teamed up with Pocono Raceway to offer fans a chance to suggest names and vote via Walmart's local Facebook page. They can also name a signature concession. Fans will have the opportunity to vote between three different types of pierogies, starting April 9.
Walmart partnered with the track to offer $25 tickets for all concourse level tickets for the June 9 race. The track made 16,000 seats available at the price.
More than 1,600 races names were suggested, including the "I hope Brad Wins! 400," submitted by reigning Sprint Cup champion Brad Keselowski.

That's classic, and I'm not even a Brad fan (though I don't hate him -- I just feel kinda neutral about him).

KyBu "Goes Ape" 300th start.
Check out the photo (above) at Richmond International Raceway's event at Go Ape! and Buffalo Wild Wings Wed where he braved obstacles , rode zip lines and enjoyed a tarzan swing.

Kyle Busch on making his 300th start at Texas Motor Speedway:

“I think it’s Junior’s (Dale Earnhardt Jr.) 600th soon, so I’m only halfway there for him and for what he’s been able to do here. It’s cool and all – I just always think the results are never kind of where you want them to be. You always want to win more and you always want a top-five more or a top-10 more or whatever. To be in 300 races, I think that’s pretty cool and it just shows that I’ve been here for a while. Yet there are still a lot more races to run and a lot more time for me to be here. Just continue on and press forward and hopefully we can be talking about 600 one day.”

I heard this from Chocolate Myers this morning on Sirius.

Over 3000 drivers have attempted a race at the cup level since 1949.

182 different drivers have won at the cup level and there has only been 27 different champions over the years.

Damn, I wish Nascar.com still had their old website. They have so much BS on their new site that I couldn't even find the qualifying results for the cup race.
