First win for car #34 since 1963: When David Ragan won the Aaron's 4099 Sprint Cup Series race at Talladega on May 5, 2013, it was the first time since December 1, 1963 that a driver had won a Sprint Cup Series race in a car #34. Wendell Scott won at Jacksonville on that day. Ragan's win was only the third time a car #34 won a Sprint Cup Series race. The first was by Jim Roper at Charlotte in 1949, the first ever NASCAR race. The car #34 has three wins in its history

A Win in nascar's first race, the first (and only) win by an african american, and a 1-2 finish for a third tier organization. If you can only win 3 races, those 3 are pretty cool.

Johanna long is an underrated racer. I think she could do better then Danica with the same equipment. Not sure if that's a bold statement or not lol.

Search continues for Georgia man missing from Talladega Superspeedway
TALLADEGA COUNTY, AL - Days after last being seen at the Talladega Superspeedway, the search for 28-year-old Nicholas Bower continues.
Talladega Sheriff Jimmy Kilgore said his office is searching the area with ATVs, boats and aircrafts. In addition to exploring his bank cards, financial accounts and cell phone records.

Authorities searched Choccolocco Creek, which near the race track.

Bower's sister Bridget Chambers says deputies have cleared all waterways and her brother was not found there Thursday.

The 28-year-old's family and his girlfriend, Jennifer Boesch, was the last person to see him at their campsite, Wednesday during a press conference they all pleaded for the public's help to find Nick.
"We're grasping at straws. We have no information. He disappeared without a trace and it not a characteristic of him at all," Chambers said.

"If anybody has any lead any information anything please, please come forward," Boesch said.
The FBI and Alabama Bureau of Investigations are also assisting in the search for Bower, who was last seen around 11 p.m. Saturday camping in the South Park area of the Talladega Superspeedway.

People in Lincoln say they've never heard of anyone disappearing from race track.

"A lot of good people are around here. Get out and look for him and search him. And maybe they'll find something," said Chase Stephens.

I have been a fan of Danica, and been hopeful that she would be improving but its starting to get hard to really put much faith in her doing much better. I think you are right with Johanna Long. She has been getting similar finishes as Danica in NNS with mid-tier equipment. Hell she doesnt even get to race every race weekend.

She didn't wreck out...this time?

Despite starting only seven out of eleven races, Denny Hamlin has led more laps this season (156) than all but five drivers.

Kevin Harvick has led the same amount of laps all season (5) as both Danica Patrick and Bobby Labonte have.

The All Star race pays 1 mil to win right? That's not much for today's drivers when they all have multi million dollar endorsement deals already. Maybe it's time to bump that pay up?

Race Hub played some radio chatter from Darlington and Stewart WAS NOT happy with Patrick. Anyone else hear it?
