Random NASCAR Stuff to talk about.....

Uh Sorry Kevin, ...

Skrillex? didn't make the charts this week. Can ya dance to it?

Nero is also pretty good.

Although, I feel bad for you silverbacks if all you can hear is this:

I like being a silverback, look it up, they are the KING Of The Jungle, the lion aint sh!t. Besides that is the exact same stuff as 70s and 80s techno pop, old school crap.

The NWS forecast says 100% today and 80% Sunday. Don't wait on practice or qualifying to make your fantasy picks, 'cause they aren't happening. It looks like the Indy race will be the only four-wheeled action we have to watch this weekend, Sunday at 11:00 am.

My grandkids asked me why I don't like Rap music . I said I didn't like it 40 years ago when it was called Beatnik either.

I don't like it mostly because the lyrics come by too fast for me to catch. It doesn't help that I'm going deaf on the right side. But I've been listening to less and less music over the last decade anyway. But hey, if it's good enough for Mark Martin...

Neither the Skrillex nor Nero cuts did much for me. I couldn't find a melody or anything cohesive. They both felt like random sounds, like someone toying Christmas morning with their new synthesizer. I particularly didn't like the occasional spoken word injected into the Nero work; I couldn't figure out any context for them. I found the sounds jarring, but that reflects more on the 'instruments' used than the structure; I don't like violins or piccolos either. Thanks for the exposure to something new, but I'll stick with the Pet Shop Boys or Blue Man Group when I want my techno-fixes.

Oh, and I still don't know what a 'harpie' or 'bass caller' is, at least not in musical terms.

Perhaps satisfy the fans they have already first?????

Like every other business in this modern era , they only care about the new business they can acquire , not the existing business . In the old days , looking after the old business was what got you new business .

It's a tough balance. Trying to maintain a broad appeal without someone feeling alienated is no easy feat.

It seemed to work like that for our business down here, that busy they won't let me retire.

BMS? Don't wish the summer away. Bristol will be here before you know it anyhow.

Good Luck at the tournament. Maybe Bruton's ticket price won't be so much of a hardship should you so well at the table?

#NCAA Final Four headed to cable next year - more big sports events are migrating from broadcast TV - what's in the #NASCAR future?

Good question..... What's in the NASCAR future? There are some big numbers for the NCAA Final Four broadcasts. I'm surprised to read about that move. I wonder if the NASCAR broadcasts could all end up heading back to cable like they once were. Heck, most of the Chase races are there already. It wouldn't surprise me to see the who gambit make it back to cable eventually.

Interesting pic IMO. Almirola's #43 car getting ready to test. There's a place for a fuel connection on the right side of the car but no actual opening. Anyone wanna guess where they're testing today?

I'd like to see NBC pick up the second half package for the next contract. Once the college football BCS moved from broadcast (ABC/FOX) to ESPN ratings dropped pretty significantly.

Sure, I'll guess. Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, SC, about an hour south of Charlotte. They get teams practicing three or four times a year. That's strictly a guess, because I don't know what their garages look like or if they even have any.

that's probably a road race car for Watkins Glenn
