Random NASCAR Stuff to talk about.....

Tony is just miserable in his car this year so I'm not surprised he's getting to that point of ridiculousness.

Yep. He was threatening to wreck her, and they are on the same damn team.

Yeah, I imagine he's getting more and more frustrated with each passing race. Don't forget that Stewart has been known to get hot in the summer and to also have the occasional meltdown himself ;)

yeah when they announce on TV that there will probably be some personnel changes at SHR something big is going to happen. I bet they start running better or else.

The All Star race pays 1 mil to win right? That's not much for today's drivers when they all have multi million dollar endorsement deals already. Maybe it's time to bump that pay up?
$1 million to win and an extra $1 million if the winner wins all five segments. Pretty unlikely that that happens. Still the largest winner's purse behind the 500 though.

Seen elsewhere.....

The ultimate NASCAR penalty --> Tweeting from your phone inside your car (which has a skewed rear suspension, an extremely light connector rod, an unsecured oil-tank lid, an engine that is .17 cubic inches too large, a too-rounded c-post and rocket fuel from NASA in the cell) during a red flag that you caused by dumping Ron Hornaday under caution that the Gen-6 car is simply too difficult to pass in, then screaming "S--T HAPPENS" into your in-car camera, hopping out, not refraining from threatening to beat the s--t out of the first reporter you see, then kicking him in the nuts, then later, asking your friend to hold your watch while you beat the reporter up in the motorhome lot after the race.

I didn't see Danica doing much of anything wrong, other than being really afraid of the wall.

I would just add..".....while passing out copies of the Brian France court documents" to make it the ultimate infraction.

NBC to pick up TNT's NASCAR races? ESPN to cut back?: NASCAR has signed one contract for 2015-2022, for the first 13 Cup races, with Fox Sports, which includes the new Fox Sports 1 that replaces Speed in August. Fox considered it a priority to get NASCAR as one of its anchor sports for its all-sports Fox Sports 1 network, so it already signed a deal for 2015-2022 (at a 36% rate increase). While the sport might have lost some of its buzz, Fox Sports recognized the loyalty of NASCAR fans to watch its programming. It will eventually put some Cup races on that cable network to boost its profile. The big question now turns to who will televise the remaining 23 races of the season. Right now, TNT has six and ESPN/ABC has 17. NBC is expected to make a run at NASCAR. It could replace TNT for those six races but there's also speculation it could take 12 or 13 races and ESPN/ABC gets the final 10 or 11 events. With Turner relinquishing NASCAR.com to NASCAR, it makes little sense for it to have the six races. It's not enough time to really get in a good flow. The TNT telecasts aren't bad at all, but it's just too short of a bridge from Fox to ESPN for any continuity or for the announcers to get into a groove. If NBC lands races, that would put more Cup events on network television, which is important considering the addition of cable races to the Fox portion of the schedule.(Sporting News)(5-15-2013)

Anymore, it's all about me as far as I'm concerned. As long as I get the channel that I can watch the race on I'm happy. I used to be concerned about what network they were on but not so much anymore.

It sure beats the heck out of waiting for the paper to show up on Thursday... :)

Race Hub played some radio chatter from Darlington and Stewart WAS NOT happy with Patrick. Anyone else hear it?
C'mon man..it was go time for Danica, 5 laps down racing Gilliland for 28th, picking up 82 grand. She did get out of there without using up two cars, so the pain wasn't too terrible on Smokes pocketbook. :)I think that is part of the problem with Stewart Hass, the crew spends too much of their time building cars for the 10.

From that article:
[...] On Saturday, May 11, 2013, at around 3:00 am, the Jennifer Jo Cobb Racing team transporter was stolen from the team’s race shop in Mooresville, NC. The value with the contents included is well over $250,000. Detective Carl Dangerfield is pursuing leads and has issued arrest warrants in connection with this case. [...]

"Hey, I get no respect around here!"

"It looks good on you though!"

I want it known that I have never stolen so much as a piece of bubble gum in my life. I did not take JJC hauler, there is no video of me any where near her shop. Today she was the windshield & I was the bug, but when we get in FEDERAL court in a couple wks there's a boulder coming

What a mess she's been the past couple of years.

Kinda feel bad for everyone involved at this point.. I've always thought highly of Mike Harmon.. Have a hard time thinking he's a thief.

JJC is a scam. Just like Tia Norfleet.

First, the start and park deal where she parked a car she paid to drive and then went on TV and said she was forced to S&P - then she went out the following week, bought another ride and parked it just a few laps in.

Then, 2nd Chance Motorsports files larceny charges against her, claiming she stole their equipment.

Earlier this year, there was the incident with the team van that she claimed was stolen when, in reality, she wasn't even the owner of it and it was actually being repossessed by someone she was in litigation with.

Now there's this.

There's one common denominator in a lot of this nonsense and it's JJC.

What is Harmon and her going to FEDERAL Court for?

They could also pick up Nationwide. ;) ESPN might want to work with NBC on programming instead of fighting them and letting FOX Sports 1 get everything. FOX Sports 1 is going to destroy ESPN. And ESPN has no clue it's coming.

I couldn't find anything, but she seems to really piss people off.
Probably from this
Harmon used to be the team manager for Cobb's Nationwide team, and indicated Wednesday night in a series of tweets he's involved in litigation with the driver.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/cobb-alleges-harmon-stole-her-005147115--nascar.html

Cobb told investigators the trailer was taken by Harmon and Sheila Rae Rice, and the Rowan County Sheriff's Office said it issued warrants for their arrest for felony larceny and breaking and entering.

They issued warrants off of JJC word??????

Thinking you're correct. I was unaware she KEPT Buying S&P's

Thinking you're correct. I was unaware she KEPT Buying S&P's

Her snivel fest was a PR stunt. The media should've done a better job looking up her history, the fact that she bought that ride and the fact that she start and parked in ARCA where there's no benefit to doing so. And after that whole stunt, they should've eaten her alive when she went out and parked the very next week.

The negative publicity would've driven her out of the sport before she caused all these problems.

A little on that JJC lawsuit:

Bob Pockrass
Rowan County Sheriff's Office confirms it has warrant out for racer Mike Harmon, 1 of 2 people accused in stealing Jennifer Jo Cobb hauler.
Harmon was Jennifer Jo Cobb's team manager in 2010 and so this sounds like a dispute between them.
Lawsuit docs: Trailer same VIN that former Cobb biz partner David Novak alleges he owns & Cobb took in Jan from storage at Harmon shop.

She looks wacked.
