Random NASCAR Stuff to talk about.....

I received another really good survey from the Fan Council yesterday. Be sure to fill it out, maybe It'll help.
Never got mine. They may have revoked my membership after reading my scathing review of the change in the qualifying procedure at Daytona for the 500. My login still works though. I think I'll go tell them how to fix their safety at their tracks. ;)

I wish they would send all of us every survey instead of intermittently.

That video a few posts back made me notice how Joey has weird body langauge when he says something "sassy".

Presented without comment.....

There's a variation on the old "Where'd you get that ugly pig?" joke here somewhere, but darned if I can find it.

I'm not sure which one has more bristles.

"And this ladies and gentlemen is why you don't pick up strangers at a bar, drunk."

This is our new race itinerary since adding the Coke Zero 400 to Pocono and Michigan. Over 4600 miles, over 68 hours of actual driving time and we'll be gone 5 1/2 weeks. I hope I survive pulling the beast over and through all of those mountains.

Let me know ahead of time when you are going to be leaving your 'D' stop. I want to hook up with you and your better half before you arrive @ 'E'.

Add Kentucky to the list of tracks adding additional safety barriers after the Kyle Busch accident.

Kentucky Speedway general manager Mark Simendinger told the Louisville Courier-Journal Monday that Busch's accident will result in more SAFER walls at his track.

Even tire barriers where they can't get safer's installed would be an improvement to a bare concrete wall. Everybody else does it. Damn.

I'm pretty sure I've seen it, but I'm not so sure because I can't find it but does anybody or has anybody seen a picture of Chase Elliot standing next to the #24 like a driver and car photo shoot? It may have been photoshopped but I think I have seen it...

Johali...you're not going to take in Indy while you're in the neighborhood??
We've been there and the wife only want's to go to certain races this year. We're going to those three and Homestead and probably the fall races at Darlington, Richmond and Martinesville. All of those stop's on the map are at big lakes in the middle of the forest. Even the ones near Pocono and michigan. The one near Daytona is on the beach.

Ya...you'll like michigan...nice, gently rolling hills...lots of lakes up around that way. very pretty. nice track, too!

Michigan and Pocono are two we haven't been to because they're so far out of the way for us. At this point we're planning on making the 3 race western swing next year. I wish they had the Sonoma race scheduled with Las Vegas, Phoenix and Fontana so we can make them all in one trip.

Man O man, close call, but, never stopped gettin er done! Is this a great sport or what!

I'm just wondering if we should expect more chaos like this on pit row now that NASCAR has drastically reduced the amount of officials on the row.

My homebody, movie-loving wife is absolutely mortified by the notion that this is how we'll spend our retirement, following the circuit with the only stops between tracks being at wildlife refuges and bird sanctuaries. I tell her I would never do that, that Loudon and Sonoma are just too far. :D

My wife is still working or we would be making the circuit. We try to stay at either a State or National park everywhere we go and so far this year like most years It's worked out that way. :D .
